Y Pavarotti fue otro EXTRAORDINARIO TENOR, con mejores agudos que PD y otros, sin duda, pero eso no significa que PD no tenga otras cualidades como tenor (timbre estupendo en la escala media, actitud musical como pocos, interpretacion, etc) que lo convierten indiscutiblemente en un TENOR unico como Pavarotti,..te guste o no te guste, un respeto a estos dos GRANDES TENORES, @liEder89 esta insultando indirectamente a PD y a LP, aro!

MUcha gente dice que Placido no tiene tecnica y no tienen razon. Placido ama y vive la musica al 120%: es un buen director de orquesta, toca muy bien el piano, tiene muchas ocupaciones en el mundo musical. Un auntentico superman¡ Energia inagotable¡ Incombustible¡ No se puede comparar con nadie¡

He ahí una de las razones por las que Domingo ha sido capaz de preparar y afrontar un repertorio tan amplio...

¿Que Pavarotti era un tenor...? ¿Y Plácido Domingo que ha sido, una soprano? Gustará, más o menos, su voz, pero negarle su cualidad de tenor, con la que ha triunfado por todos los escenarios del mundo cantando los roles más difíciles de su cuerda, es mostrar muy mala voluntad.

Certainly, you don't have to be a good pianist in order to be an excellent singer though it does save one a hell of a lot of money in correpetition!

However, Placido is here in amazing voice -in his golden years- and can project with a creamy sound that made him famous if not legendary.

I suppose aficionados feel he is outstaying his welcome for some years now, but -what the heck- after such a career people want to see you perform no-matter-what and he just obliges... I am too jealous to judge!

It was my privilege to see him in Cyrano de Bergerac in May in Paris. He gave me his autograph after the show, I am still walking on air. At the age of 67 his voice still moves me to tears and this piece is simply magnificent. The greatest singer in the world!!

good point GEVORK6. He´s a great musician but has always lacked what other singers have,Pavarotti among them. And that is the voice or sound.
