nobody wants to be surgeon for the sake of money..its about feeling for humanity..u can get this much money by being a fashion designer also..no one would want a stressful life for money...
I agree that money is no reason for entering ANY sort of medical field. Fortunately, many medical school selection procedures seem to weed out those only in it for pay. Medical schools surprisingly have some of the lowest attrition rates of any professional schools. Enter a field of work because you can enjoy it and get enthused about it. The good pay should just be a convenient side-effect of doing what you love.
I have a question if anyone can answer. I am premed right now with the desire of going into psychiatry. My question is once you obtain your medical degree for psychiatry, would it be hard to become a neurosurgeon if one desires to do so? I am aware it's a different class /different study, but what would be he additional step?
My neighbor took 4 years undergrad, 4 years medical school, 6 years residency, 2 years fellowship. He couldn't make a living until his late 30s (paying off student loans), couldn't start a family until he was 40. He always tells me "It's an incredibly noble and fulfilling trade, but only for those who are really selfless. I wouldn't wish it on anyone."
Surgeons in California average $400,000 a year. But MONEY IS NO REASON TO BE A MEDICAL PRACTITIONER OF ANY KIND. Do it because you love people and want to help them.
@Toxicjazzlove programs like texas tech medical school has a fast track program that lets you graduate with an MD in 3 years but you have to declare primary care as your speciality
is the 150,000 to 200,000 a year based on if you work for a center or if you open up a facility by yourself? because my doctor earns 500,000 a month not year and he has his own facilty not working with someone.
@fjtrkdjffg He was his own Private Practice then...he doesn't get 500k/month straight you know...he has to pay the staff, instruments, taxes,no paid vacations.
@fjtrkdjffg Oh my mistake sir...*He has his own private practice then*.He doesn't get 500k/month straight you know...he has to pay the staff, instruments, taxes,no paid vacations etc, like i said =D.
Yeah, all the ones i see doing their residency in radiology or surgery work like 90hours/week and they all regretted going there for money...lol
Radiology/Surgery/Ophtalmo is DEMANDING and only the motivated ones succeed, the ones joining with the classic "i gonna be millionaire" attitude will fail before hitting 2nd year and they will switch to GP residencies...lol
I really liked your channel and this video. If you need any help getting this video exposed I use a site called tubeviews.(net) It has really helped like 20 of my main videos get to the top in position. Its nice.

I think doctors and surgeons deserve high wages, not politicians, company owners and bosses etcetera so much.

If you are going into medicine for the money... Don't. It's about the patient not making a buck. If you want to do that go into sales!
