@MonChiMinh Always thought this was quite a nice cover, not Chris Bell's version. To be fair... back in 91 I didn't have a clue who Chris Bell was and this is how I found out about him and Big Star - I think This Mortal Coil are a massive reason why so many of us know of CB/BS.
I'm sorry, it is a beautiful song, but The Mortal Coil doesn't even come close to capturing the heart-wrenching emotion that Chris Bell, or even Jon Auer of the Posies did. Nice try though.

Great version, second only to Chris's original. Yeah, even better than the reformed Big Star's versions, which is pretty damn good.
BTW, the only male lead vocal on the entire Blood album, courtesy of Dominic Appleton, who sang quite a bit of lead vocals on the earlier TMC album Filigree & Shadow.
