This is an amazing song! Powerful, poetic, and inspiring, and sung with such passion by the great Jay Chou. The Beijing-opera element in between is a stroke of genius. THIS should have been the theme song for the Beijing Olympics. In my opinion it beats the sleepy "Me and You" and over-the-top "Beijing Welcomes You" by MILES. What were they thinking?!

I don't know. I too prefer this to LeeHom and I don't think other non-chinese would mind this song as well. Lyrics wise...LeeHom's song sounds very general like it's very possible that one world one dream has a neutral feeling. However, Jay's song has character so to each his/her own liking.

i dont see why considering other nations means speaking their language. the magic of music is that it communicates in all language and i think bj olympics is not onli a time to unite all nations together but to showcase the chinese culture as well.

Personally, I prefer this to Lee Hom's olympic song. Lee Hom's one is good too, but sounds a bit too much like the normal inspirational song. Jay's song has more character. Plus the title (Qian Shan Wan Shui) & lyrics of this song has more a chinese feel to it. And very personal, esp to the athletes. De title & lyrics in Lee Hom's song are too general in nature. This are just my own frank thots.

This is a wonderful song for the closing ceremony; I am so happy that Taiwanese singers can be included in the selection. Hopefully both Jay Chou's and Leehom's will be used for the Olympics; but honestly, I think China will want to reserve at least one spot for its singer :D
