The power is directly from the wall power supply 6V 1A . The screen does have a more noticeable power then before because it is not going thought the electronics.
i might just try that, i noticed the stock board can make the screen go back and forth forever if it jams on return.. your hack inspired me to build my own board with a microcontroller and relays to take care of that. thanks
I gutted the whole thing when I did this their are buttons on each end of the screen track that are used for the mainboard. You could use those with your microcontroller.
is it stronger this way, can it pull more amps?
