  • Absolutely agree there India 2305. We are great tea lovers. Our favourite is a pot made with one British Rail type tea bag and one Earl Grey.

  • I love tea & have over 25 different kinds to meet my every mood or need. But I must say, when I need to WAKE UP, it is the IRISH BREAKFAST that works best!!!!!

  • Thank you very much for your comment.

You have a lot of tea there - 25 kinds.

We stick to a combo of - one regular and earl grey teabag to the pot. Simply divine. Wishing you all the best.

  • Great looking spot for a drop of tea.

  • Thanks for sharing a view of the Tea Room.

Was that bread pudding at 1:01 in the video?

You'd be hard pressed to beat Cornwall for an English Cream Tea that's for sure.

    Wishing you all the best.

  • Hello Dennis, lovely to hear from you.

Yes, the music is just spot on for this short.

    Miss Violet

  • Why thank you Miss Violet, maybe we can have a pot together one day?

  • Why thank you my Dear but I rarely get out of my comfy chair in Eastbourne. I shall be coming up to London for the St Patrick's day festival and will join you in a cup then, with the greatest of pleasure.

  • Make sure you come and introduce yourself to us, it will be lovely to meet you.

    All the best.

  • Great video. It's great to see people just gathering to talk and relax.

  • Hello P, thanks for your comments.

You are right, it is great to just take time and sit and have a good old chat and pass the time of day. Wishing you all the best.

  • You filmed in County Cork! Where my ancestors come from...I will have TEA when I go there (someday!) It looks like TEA to the IRISH is what COFFEE is to the ITALIANS! CIAO :)

  • Hello Katalina

Cork is fab, we love it.

Now you are across the pond, it's no distance for you. Ciao bella :)

  • True, LOL!! Ciao and Grazie for this FANTASTIC video!! Ciao bella!

  • What a lovely, gentle reminder there is much more to St. Patrick's day than beer! (I'm already sick of hearing about that part of it this year! After seeing this video, I ran right over and made me a cuppa! (only mine was green tea - hey! THAT's in keeping with St. Patrick's day, now isn't it??!)

  • Green tea, yes you can get that in Ireland no bother, but, it doesn't go so well with the bread and butter pudding and custard.

Thank you for your support too Neko, it's appreciated. All the best to you.

  • Oh MY!! I just read on the Barry's tea site that the Irish drink more tea per capita than anywhere on Earth!

Do you take cream in your tea?

  • Yes Tea is big in Ireland.

We have milk in our tea, not cream.

We never have it in a glass like you get on the continent, and rarely take it with lemon.

It is mostly taken with cakes, scones or biscuits, and the odd sandwich:)

  • Wow, that is great! Looks like an awesome place to sit down for tea. I must try this bread and butter pudding!

  • It is an awesome place PM. Do you know how it is in city centres, they've get done up, regenerated and become so expensive you can't sit and have tea anywhere, it's so swanky?

Well Cork City has been done up, it looks great, but it is the best city in Ireland to have lunch, bang in the middle of town, without having to get a mortgage before you sit down.

  • Nicely done! This is why I love when your videos come up, always something very nice to see/hear :D Jess

  • Thanks Jess, this is a lovely comment to receive.

  • Mmm i want tea now

lovely little shop :) nice little video :)

Thanks again to wyllie and O'Hagan.

  • What's the tae like in the FreakKitchen?

  • Lively atmosphere>I'd like to see that cake to be eaten)))

  • Thanks AK

The cake got eaten so quickly, the camera couldn't record it - honest:)

  • That was fun to watch the people enjoying their tea and cakes, thank you ladies! Good luck with your St. Patrick's Day event, so sorry that we couldn't make it in person:(

  • Thanks Anthony, it is a lively cafe, plenty of chat with the cakes. We are sorry we won't be seeing you at our screenings in London, but there will be other times.

    Wishing you all the best.

  • I don't think the people in my town will drink tea. The pubs will be full and the cafes will be closed. I myself will be having tea though.

  • Each to their own Yellowlab.

What we hope to achieve with our film festival is to demonstrate that not every Irish occasion is fuelled by alcohol - and we can celebrate with gusto, whatever our choice is.

Wishing you all the very best.

  • What a great idea for a film! Very upbeat. Loved it! Thanks.

  • Thanks MM

We love tea, have you every been to the English Market in Cork?
