No, this is basque language, comes from Maghreb, it's a kind of an arabized berber language imported during the invasion of Italy by Hannibal. It's been spoken in Nothern Spain, not too far from Africa.
Total bullshitter's... There is no linguist able to say from where the Basque language come from! Some see a link with Japanese language, other with Georgian, other with Berber, other think it's the ancient language of the Atlantis... Whatever, truth is everybody has his theory and the mystery always exist!

No one knows exactly where the Basques came from. Some say they have lived in that area since Cro-Magnon man first roamed Europe. Estimates of how long they have lived there vary from 10,000 to 75,000 years. Some say they are descended from the original Iberian. More fanciful theories exist, as well. One is that the Basques are the descendants of the survivors of Atlantis.

Uh...I believe the connection is made that it is the remnant of the pre-Roman Iberian peoples of the Iberian peninsula, before they were Romanized.
