@TheFirefightergirl17 i agree completely with you on that one..ill be at home and if it comes on the tv my family looks at me and i smile and i say yes i like the brand and they laugh
@rowdy970 Lmao ikr my family & my friends do that to me wherever I am or go!So I sorta just laugh an smile also an tell em I love the job an the rush of all the stuff we do.My friends & family support everythin I do for my station.(: Its great to be noticed by people but its even better when you noticed in public for the things you do even in my town we have people bring us stuff or come up to help or thank us for doin what we do.
It's not as simple as flashlights. We can't see in a fire whether we have flashlights or not. I don't care if I have a flashlight in a fire. Our SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus), however do rely on batteries. We use batteries to show us how much breathing air we have left. If we go down in a fire or are trapped/lost, our SCBA send off an alarm that lets our rescuers know where we are. Our voice communication is reliant on batteries. Batteries save firefighters lives!
These VOLUNTEER firefighters are bigger heroes than the ones in movies, because they're you're average person who do heroic things for the love of their community
These VOLUNTEER firefighters are my heroes. Last time I checked, 72% of America's firefighters were volunteers.
Not only do they take the risks of firefighting -- they go through rigorous ff training programs. While they cannot be expected to be in as good a physical condition as full time professionals, these folks do remarkable work with modest equipment funding and no pay.
@freetobeme03 the second to the last fire dept was Richmond city engine one up the street from VCU i use to see a lot when i worked at VCU. I volunteered in the next county over which Chesterfield, VA.
I will do as The Dude commands; honor thy firemen and use Duracell Power.

Where is the link between a battery and the courage of firefighters? To my point of view : none...
godalex69 8 months ago
@godalex69 well you see, the firefighters' flashlights need batteries to work...
sillybones1 8 months ago
@godalex69 Without batteries we have no power for our flashlights and helmet lights so batteries are our "heros" as well.
