you guys do know that in the original comic, Lana named her son after Clark.

And it's not icky that Annette O'toole palys lana in Superman and then Martha in Smallville. You gotta think of the show seperately and the characters seperately. It's like saying Chirstopher Reeves (Superman) loses his powers and becomes Virgil Swan. Or that Kristin Kreuk as Snow White suddenly appears in modern day Smallville!
