After Dean went out of Business, he went to Washburn. After Dean returned (Before he was killed) he went back to promoting Dean hence the new guitars.
@TheMichaelclark While I don't believe in starting word wars, I believe you should check your history. His first guitar was a Hondo Les Paul copy. His dad bought him and cherry burst Dean ML and he also won a few more in competitions plus his siganture Randall amp starting his love for both. Dean officially went out of business in '94 which is when moved to Wasburn until his contract with them expired in 2004. Hence the Dean Razorbacks we have now.
@Misrilou sorry bro but you're wrong, Dean has not gone out of business ever, they did not go out of business in 1997 and you pulled that fact out of your ass. the rest you said is true but he was sponsored by washburn first not dean. I have a 1997 dean catalog. Unless you can provide me with some kind of astonishing evidence they went out of business then your a bullshitter
@TheMichaelclark Again, not one for wars of words, but I can. Read the Januaray 2010 edition of Guitar World that was dedicated to Dime's memory. They have stories from his dad, his management and believe it or not an entire back story to on his equipment as told by Dean Zelinsky and employees from Washburn. You can also by the Riffer Madness book like my fiancee' bought for me. Case closed pal.
i always remember my envy of people that told me they had seen hendrix live. ive seen dimebag twice. wish he was still here tho for all the other kids perhaps still in nappies at the mo. when they grow up they will have my hendrix envy only of darrel insted. point is, his music and that special talent will go on.
only dime could make a little amp like that sound brutal \m/,

@TheMichaelclark BTW, the catalog you have is when Dean resumed their business. Dean Zelinsky just wasn't over it anymore.
