Why is it always the guys that have never juiced that can "tell" when someone else is? He says he's natural and there's no reason to believe he isn't, he's been training/eating right for DECADES
Great videos in general; I normally do a variation on barbell curls and believe it or not I use proper form. However, on the last set for the last 3-4 reps I like to swing it up and do some negatives. Is this a big deal considering I have proper form on every other curl?

I also do another workout additional to this, it is great! I call it sevens. First u start by pulling the bar up half was and down seven times. SLOW IS KEY!!! Then, start half way and bring it up to ur chest do this seven times. Remember SLOW IS KEY! Finally do full range of motion seven tiems. Do it slowly! Do not sway or jerk. Use the same exact motion in this video. Its a great workout in addition to this.

It is getting really annoying cause when I have my T-shirt on, my arms look damn thin. I mean that specific area around the elbow - it looks like there was no muscle at all :( Are there any exercises for that area? Or what should I do to force it grow ! Please I really need the answer.. It is getting really demotivating.
@hakim230794 I mean that area around the bone - is very low muscular in my case.. The place where forearm muscles start and the lower end of biceps... I hope u know what I mean :) Simply said - I would like to gain muscle around that elbow joint ... :D (Dont know the exact word for it...)
@PlxXx8 oh that part...its a connective muscle, its like the joints of a chicken wing . maybe u could do stretch overload exercises,its good i tried it

@nightmarereaperz From personal experience I found the easiest thing to do is to use a lighter weight with both arms, about what the weaker arm would do alone. As you may know, the human body isn't perfectly balanced when it comes to strength, and that's because you use certain muscles more than others, in your case because you are most likely right handed. I would suggest working both arms together, this will keep the stronger arm working and give the weaker arm a chance to catch up.
i think im doing my curls wrong. every time i do them it feels like my forearms are getting more of a pump than my biceps. my forearms start to hurt and i feel like i cant even hold the bar to curl and i get little to no pump in my biceps. any tips?
@kingdaleclarke cheat curls would be for that last 1 rep to pump out im pretty sure arnold did just do cheat curls the whole set and seated curls have another name.. preacher curls. you use a preacher bench. standing will hit the body more as in it will recruit the abs. yes you can do seated but scooby is trying to show a better way to do them.
i think people do bad form cuz they want people to see them do a weight they cant lift. and they will never be able to lift it if they dont start low and do perfect form to work up to that weight.

@thomascolin12 Hi. If you think that one side of your body is overpowering the other do not worry. Your body automatically hands over more work to the weak side. So just continue working out and in a month or two your arms/pecs etc. will be equally strengthen.

@jwcw29 Straight bar are actually BETTER than ez bar curl.. When you use the straight bar your hands are supinated and it work the bicep better than ez bar, the reason is because of your hand position.. Right now supinate your arm like your doing straight bar curls and feel your bicep without any weight, then turn your hand like your doing ez bar then feel the bicep you can see that the supination activate the bicep the most, the more you turn your palm away from you, you deactivate the bicep..

Do we need to wear one or are they just another money maker? I have noticed after doing dumbbell curls that my lower back is a little "tickly", like I've been bending over too long.
@George19881988 Weight belts are not for simple exercises such as bicep curls, they're more for exercises that require a lot of intra-abdominal force such as deadlifts, squats and over head presses. No they are not a "money maker" and are very helpful. Watch "Strengthcamp" 's video on weight belts.
strange thing. My wrists were hurting with straight bar for a long time(couple years). When I've discovered my way of growing strength this pain in wrists become very quiet.

Should I do pull-ups a lot, or barbell curls. I already got the record for pull ups here at my high school and I'm only a freshman, but my arms haven't got any bigger since the beginning of the school year and I'm only doing biceps every 3 days.

Yes, simple carbs are great post workout. After training muscles are depleted of glycogen&glucose and your body will release the hormone cortisol which tries to break down muscle tissue into simple aminos which can be converted into glucose by the Liver as an emergency response.
You want high glycemic carbs to replenish glucose fast and make the Pancreas excrete insulin which drives key nutrients directly into the muscle cell allowing the aminos from your protein to be utilized.
Hey scooby, i have simplified my biceps workout, it consists of about 5 sets from wich 2 are warmups, My biceps aren't as sore after the workout as they used to be before, but my gains seem to be better, could you explain this please? I am 16 y/o
@apauloc100 Do you do cardio? I would recommend doing 20-40 minds cardio every/every other day. Also make sure you are having 4-6 meals a day. No sugar, good carbs like whole wheat, plenty of vegetables and plenty of protein.
Scooby why don't you list in your workout plans to take a rest day. I've been working out for 3 years and I always thought it was good to take 1 day a week to rest because not only your muscles and joints need rest but also your internal system?
I usually train biceps and triceps together and chest and back together. However, it doesnt seem to be very effective. Do you think I should do biceps and back together and triceps and chest together? I heard that back and bicep workouts are overstraining for your biceps.
@leotheroach Biceps and back on the same day is best. They are both pulling exercises and go great together(ex. Curls and Rows). They won't overstrain the bicep, they'll work them out good though!
I remember when I saw this dude on youtube last summer and told my self, "Look at this guy, hes super buff. I want to get like that." So I started looking at some of his vids and he insired me. Since then I have lost 30lbs, I know its not alot, but everyone tells me that I look more thinner, and I feel great. Im in the best shape of my life. Im stronger and get way more attention from the ladys ;)

@XXXStraightEdgerXXX you can gain weight easily.... if you stuff your face you can start to get a gut of fat within 2 months easily.
muscle mass isnt nearly as easy, unless you love working out and can put up with doing it all the time every week with no holidays.

I was wondering if going Swimming 2-3 hours(per day) 6 days/week is better then going to gym? to burn calories, get 6 pack abs, better chest and muscular definition. i have that bendy bar thing, when i use it i feel like my arms are uncomfortable and cant lift the bar properly. i keep my arms still and pinned at my sides and that is still uncomfortable. am i doing something wrong or is their just too much weight?

Hey scooby, hoping you could give advice to people like me who really want to work out and get big muscles, but get ugly stretch marks when we try. I get them on my biceps, pecs, shoulders, triceps, and quads. I want progress in size but the stretch marks look kinda bad.

Yes, simple carbs are great post workout. After training muscles are depleted of glycogen&glucose and your body will release the hormone cortisol which tries to break down muscle tissue into simple aminos which can be converted into glucose by the Liver as an emergency response.
You want high glycemic carbs to replenish glucose fast and make the Pancreas excrete insulin which drives key nutrients directly into the muscle cell allowing the aminos from your protein to be utilized.

@apauloc100 Do you do cardio? I would recommend doing 20-40 minds cardio every/every other day. Also make sure you are having 4-6 meals a day. No sugar, good carbs like whole wheat, plenty of vegetables and plenty of protein.

Scooby why don't you list in your workout plans to take a rest day. I've been working out for 3 years and I always thought it was good to take 1 day a week to rest because not only your muscles and joints need rest but also your internal system?

I usually train biceps and triceps together and chest and back together. However, it doesnt seem to be very effective. Do you think I should do biceps and back together and triceps and chest together? I heard that back and bicep workouts are overstraining for your biceps.

@leotheroach Biceps and back on the same day is best. They are both pulling exercises and go great together(ex. Curls and Rows). They won't overstrain the bicep, they'll work them out good though!

I remember when I saw this dude on youtube last summer and told my self, "Look at this guy, hes super buff. I want to get like that." So I started looking at some of his vids and he insired me. Since then I have lost 30lbs, I know its not alot, but everyone tells me that I look more thinner, and I feel great. Im in the best shape of my life. Im stronger and get way more attention from the ladys ;)
The bottom line is, stop wasting your time and get physical, you wont regret it. Thanks Scooby
