what happen to Mardi gras, it is changed to Dimanche gras, why not samedi gras, or Lundi gras or Vendredi gras

I enjoyed watching people celebrating peacefully in my country. My only problem was that woman and her Groupe Culturelle Lumiere Soleil. She never answered the question about how she recruited those CHILDREN. Something is not right with about her "organization." I hope she encourages the girls to learn math/science as passionately as she encouraged such moves. I can't imagine any good Haitian parents (including mine) of any economic level who would have allowed their children to do this.
