  • This is sheer blasphemy!

  • @animus999 You're right, I don't make music. You dont make anything either. Liking something is one thing, copying other people's stuff is another entirely. I dont have a talent for making original music, and neither do you, but at least I don't post that kind of stuff and call it mine. Weak.

  • @naponroy , im a musician, check the rest of my profile for other vids. thanks for your comment.

  • Yes, this shit isn't a remix. It's the Last of the mohican's Soundtrack as other's have said. THE SONG IS PROMONTORY, LAST OF THE MOHICANS SOUNTRACK, lot it up on on youtube, all of this is just a ploy to get you to visit his LAME site.

Everyone, DON'T GO TO HIS SITE and GIVE THIS THUMBS DOWN FOR PLAGARISM. Don't take credit for other people's work loser.

  • That music is not Yanni moron. its Trever Jones and Randy Edelman.

  • Whip out those clogs, Muad Dib

  • far and away meets dune with opie as the director

  • Riverdance in space is a good word for it.

  • im just loling at all the comments. waiting to see an injun with a mohawk and tomahawk pop out and give Paul a better fight than Sting...

  • ICh brauche mal einen tritt in den allerwertesten um anzukommen ! ;) ... Aber recht schöne zusammenfasung !

  • What the fuck is this...RIVERDANCE in space? Ridiculous.

  • @burlearth Are you invulanst bya Yx weapons , are you stupid ? .... tz ... tz.... Put your tiney littel hand in the box ... ;)

  • @58Bo21 Please get some grammatical education.

  • @burlearth it's the music from last of the mohicans.....that is all.

  • @burlearth LOL

  • @burlearth lol, I like that comment, very good..Lol

  • wtf..sorry the video editing and background fx are great..but the fucking 'riverdance' music is totally OFF

  • Irish dance on spice melange.

  • Sorry animus... I'm not feeling it. Maybe if it got more epic somewhere at 1 minute... added some explosions...

  • Terrible remix. There is nothing wrong with the soundtrack of Dune, It was nominated for an Acadamy Award. I kept expecting the Duke and Paul to break in to a RiverDance.

  • Macho, tienes el gusto en el culo. ¿El ultimo mohicano sobre dune? ... ¿Te drogas o algo? ... ¿No habrá mil doscientos millones de bandas sonoras de dune mejores para este video? ... Manda huevos!.

  • the future will fold al araund us

  • Wow you replaced Eno with Riverdance LOL !

  • this is really good

  • celtic violins dont belong in space movies

  • Well, have a look at the Firefly TV show and get surprised about what issues can be combined ^^

  • I dunno man...the dune soundtrack is highly kick ass. I mean soundtracks dont get much better than this. And im someone who has watched last of the mohicans like 5 million times. As a result i believe the music from last of the mohicans belongs in the movie last of the mohicans. I mean, your attempt here is fine, just to suggest it is anything better than the original is a bit unwarranted to say the least....ps i dont know and or care what firefly tv is.

  • Completely agree with Burrisant.

  • I completely disagree with the vast majority of the comments posted to this video. The original space folding seen is one of the few great sequences in this film, and perhaps one of only a handful that really have Lynch's distinctive mark on them. Lynch's visuals fit perfectly with Brian Eno's majestic Prophecy Theme, and changing the music impacts negatively on the sequence as a whole.

  • This is the best video I've seen on Youtube. The deep music was great. A

You are right. This is how they should've done the space fold trip to Dune. Would you be so kind as to fix the rest of the movie?

  • Surely dog too old?

  • Very nice job!

    5 stars!

  • That dog is also the cast in Men in Black

  • true hahaha

  • tera1320 cyberpunk extrodinaire.....

This is very touching....I'll bring something to your attention. Know this, I'm not toooooooo into creating controversy...youknowhumI'msayin. Because, The Actress who played The Lady Jessica was so, curvacious, in an attempt to hide this as her Exotic and Erotic Characteristic. Hollywood Forced this movie to either be banned, or edited, by changing the contrast of the screen images, on many things making the curves be deleted.

  • that irish fiddle line in the background is from Last of the Mohicans

  • Bravo ! lets win in a way ...

  • The music is ancient. You interpret Herbert in a very cavalier way, all ya'll. I think you lack a deeper understanding. Too used to special effects. Or is it to to gory in your own lives?

  • I love this so much! The hand! Irish mysticism.

    And the music!

  • me too and im English ! hehe x x xx lol. Hope alls well mate.

  • I was hoping for something a bit more worthy but I get last of the mohicans...

  • its nice, I think it matches pretty nicely.

I think the quote that sums the folding space thing for me came from one of the preludes.

"the universe was his woman, and he made love to her"

  • TOTO sound track for me thanks...

  • I like this mix Eqv-precisely because it has that same haunting theme-Lynch did it best--even herbert said so

  • Its been ruined. 1 of 5 stars. David Lynch knows what he is doing, who ever made this, does not.

  • omg excellent! completely unexpected! i'd love a sci-fi renaissance epic!

  • disaprove of this mix

The last of the Mohicans = Epic

    Dune = Epic

    Together = Epic fail.

I love both movies and soundtracks to both

    but this is unacceptable.

  • Dune the way it should've been? This soundtrack is a mess, give me a break. I love it when talentless people with no ear or esthetic comprehension come off with pretense and arrogance. This shit sucks.

  • I agree this is a joke

  • still waiting for the beat...

and still waiting for spiritual global-tribe-partisan uprise.

keep the spirit alive! in dune-films, books and advertising-stuff. we need more than this.

  • giedi prime is the real cyberpunx area

  • well I thinks its brilliant

  • This sounds fantastic. As long as people have time to create this kind of stuff- I have hope.

  • Fuck dune fantasy-there is a real emergency-forget the bailout

  • I love debate/whatever. It's been fun. See ya' on the flip side.

  • Animus? What spiritual war? I find it hard to forgive that we were forced off of our homeland; and for freedom of religion and being scot-irish had to make a life in the turks-turned out for the best I suppose-then the english claimed that land-of course-and we flnd ourselves in america-of which I am a proud citizen-hating the pres tho-Get a grip Dragan

  • great song, very cool video m8 5/5

on a side note does anyone have a link to where they say Maud'Dib's name so i can actually tell people how to say it properly...?

  • I apologize animus- I still hold a grudge to be sure. Dragan you are an idiot. Slag me for being an american? And who says I want a pure Celtic race? It's not about race to me-it's about land. The land stolen from us. And the tribes here suffered as we fled our oppressors. Taking land as well. You'd think ppl would learn Dragon. However, the tribes here stepped on each other in the most horrific manner. People are the same all over the globe. Conflicts arise when resources are few; or treasured.

  • I should let well enough alone. However; my birthright is in the Highlands-and if I'm american now- makes no no never mind against my claim against a false laird and a traitor-fuck the english crown and their scottish lackeys

  • our birthright burns to this day

  • thank you for your even temper animus-Dragon; you seem self defeating-I would like all tribes to be united within themselves-then; we can unite into a global tribe-partisan is not the word of the future--stop looking back

  • Animus999.

Did you add the comms stuff? That's the best bit.

  • It is a beautiful sounding video.

  • ok Dragan-maybe I'm a fool. I dinna ken this bullshit. Lay down and get stepped on? And don't you ever call up the american tribes against me-they continually sided with the wanderers, slaves and runaways. It was the eastern tribes along with the cherokee and scot and irish runaways that kept the french from the ohio valley. Always running before the english. You annoy me Dragan. You are either English or German. You will never understand the tribes.

  • Hi animus999. I LOVE the video editing. The audio editing is quite OK, but there are things that are not really my cup of tea : it's true when you say that this music's capturing the epic feeling of space folding, but just like everybody here I find it a little bit too much "celtic-oriented". You can think of House Atreides as some kind of Irish-like house (planet Caladan...), but here the traditional beat is definitely too present at the beginning. Pump up the futuristic beat in your tune.

  • Dune is a failure, but a very interesting one and so in that respect it's a good film, if not a good adaptation.

  • Guys Guys Guys, your getting it all wrong, im fusing futuriistic, celtic together, its like a war dance, the ships gather, forget fucking Toto , this is about getting the feeling of building a massive fleet, of impending spiritual war. feel it and stop reading in to it....

  • It's not that bad. Has a epic and quasi-historic feel to it, so it works quite well. :-) I personally don't like the Lynch adaptation of Dune, but I think you did a good job on this, although it's not a real remix.

  • I get what your doing but I think it still sucks. I like Celtic music too but it doesn't fit in Dune what so ever. Forget Toto??? The music in Dune ROCKED! I just think its so ridiculous when I see videos about movies with the best music, but someone puts their own music instead. If its not broke you don't fix it. The music rocked in Dune, so why replace it with other music.

  • Didn't see anything futuristic, but nice anyway... :-)

  • youhave done a great job. congrats.

  • hey u should try to listen to a video on youtube...look up "Machine Gun - Jimi Hendrix Tribute"(guitar player is in orange clothes) and play thier video from about 6 minutes and 30 seconds till the end while watchin your "to fold space" remix soundtrack video.

  • @animus999 No offence mate, but thats your opinion, I just don't think it fits. Plus in the movie, they're not really buildiing a massive fleet, they're basically just getting ferried from one place to another.

  • The original Dune theme by Toto was so much better....

  • I agree. Anybody who thinks they can do better, can't. Once you reach perection, there's only going down from there.

  • the english are very strong-ww1 & 2 give credit to this-at the same time the english empire was firmly established and had been under attack for a century-starting with us upstart americans-others were to follow-unhappy that the crown could not be wrest from pretenders-the day will come that the house of Windsor will join its inbred family on the continent-and these ppl can live out their days playing baccarat in monte carlo salons-after all their assests are seized

  • It was actually the British Empire, you know, Scotsmen fought in both World Wars as did Irishmen and Welshmen.

  • As an Irish citizen I'm sad to inform you captainkeoni: Irish culture has been homogenised and sold off, piece by piece, in return for money and European "culture". Sorry to break it to you.

Nice video and sentiment, animus999. Shame about the music. "Metamorphosis Five" by Philip Glass would've been a more appropriate choice though.

  • @animus-endlessly amusing-my uncle used to play this tune on his fiddle-he was an old dude from Lookout Mtn.

  • i absolutely loved the book dune by frank herbert and the movie was really lame especially for the 1980's. if it were not for the material anything else that that moron dave lynch makes is a giant turd. the movie just did not work on so many other levels due to kyle mclachlan who cannot freaking act!!

  • i agree

  • I love Dune, the film was way ahead of it's time .

  • the english are slaves to their queen animus-so obviously 666-hahahahahahahahahahaha

  • The queen, God bless her slippers, has no power. I, like the rest of the world, am so glad I'm not American. Anyway I'm sure I'm keeping you from other things like scraping raw cookie dough from a bucket with your hand, or shooting something. Peace.

  • @captainkeoni

The Kings & Queens of england dont make the choices of the english people. The memory of the strong who defyed tyranny in the face of defeat lives on and strong....

  • the post wants us to believe they are one and the same-what befell my tribe/my family, is not like a sci-fi story-it was blood and desperation to survive against those english dogs-we scot and irish resist today-despite english genocide--------in the future; the pipes will sing for our patron-Patrick-and the souls of our dead mothers

  • Oi captainkeoni! Always amazes me how such comments find their way on to YouTube. "We Scot & Irish", are you one of these Yanks who dreams of some idealistic vision of the 'homeland' even though these days it's a mulitcultural nation? Take a walk through Dublin or Edinburgh & hear the East European, Oriental and Asian voices. "Genocide", that's what you guys did to the Native Americans isn't it? Have another brewski & dream about your twisted vision of pure Celtic race & homeland.

    Great video!

  • Oh, brother (captainkeoni). Not another Yank who dreams of a version of Ireland & Scotland that doesn't exist. Walk through Dublin or Edinburgh and see how multicultural these cities have become. Just sit back, have a beer and dream your twisted vision of a pure Celtic race & homeland.

btw wasn't 'Genocide' what you guys did to the Native Americans..?

  • O Do not pretend that you are anything but American, Dragon. At the very least, a Canuck. Same thing. Or Quebecois-blah blah-socialist/elitist motherfuckers. You pigeon-hole me; and at the same time call me brother. You must be in politics. What hotel do you keep your whore in? The ppl want to know.

  • for sure it's a great job

  • What's going on? I only know, that DUNE and Last of the Mohicans have best soundracks that I know, but what's that...

  • Animus,

you sir are a TRUE Dune fan...

not like that shmuck Davey Lynch

  • wtf? while i like the last of the mohicans theme i don't this these two are suited for each other.

  • I can't stop watching this mate thanks!

  • lolz last of the mohicanz

  • nope, sorry. This folkey music makes no sense whatsoever. Like someone just pasted the first thing they could find onto their edit of this classic. Especially since the Dune soundtrack was the only decent thing Toto ever did. Hard to believe they actually wrote this extraordinary soundtrack

  • Nah, not even Michael Mann could have rescued Lynch's soulless travesty.

  • yeah u r right it is from the last of the mohicans-its good but if whoever did this vid had left the original sound off it would have been better

  • Amen -The ORIGINAL sound.

  • I feel that i know this song from some where, braveheart?? or maybe last of the mohicans?

Dune is a great story, the movie and mini-series are great too.

  • What music did you use?

  • I'm utterly amazed at how inappropriate this music is. Good music, but doesn't fit at all with Dune, Lynch's or otherwise.

  • it's true the soundtrack for Dune by shlock-band Toto, was crap, Lynch wanted the whole score by Eno, but producer Dino wanted someone "popular". I believe the movie would be regarded a masterpiece w/ a Badalemnti score, maybe someday...

  • I haven't listen to the whole soundtrack in a long while, but the main theme just rules, and especially goes well with the movies theme and cinematic atmosphere, and Gothic element, which can be found in the clothes, architecture, exterior of technology, style of speech, the whispering, and some other shit that doesn't come to mind.

  • the main "Prophecy" theme was by Eno and it is great, just imagine if the whole movie had music that good.

  • @infostream:

Ok, i agree, but i like the spaces of silence in the movie because it adds to the atmosphere.

Maybe this was Toto's best contribution

  • Now I agree with that. The TOTO soundtrack maybe sounds epic, but it's incredibly repetitive and overly loud. And that's why I got annoyed by it while watching the older Lynch version...

  • I liked the Toto soundtrack, was quite epic and trippy in places.

  • I know this is technical, but this is in no way a "Remix" - Remix denotes some kind of use of the original score. This is more of a re-imagining, or alternate score.

  • that wasfucikng cccoool.yeah

  • Well done.

  • The Spice must flow

  • legendary arrakis :)
