Also, what exactly are the guidelines for women to act like women? Do they have to sing heavy-flow ragfest music, or songs about how much they hate an ex? There are plenty of women who sing music that has nothing to do with love, but this is just music designed to make people happy, and isn't that part of the "human experience"?

As a singer I'd like to say that singing isn't easy, but even though I do enjoy Lenka's music I will say that her singing is mediocre at best. There are better singers out there.

I don't think she has to sing pitch perfect for people to enjoy her music. Some of us just prefer raw voices like hers over the orthodox, heavily edited, and overly strong voices we hear on the radio and real life.
