  • Cool track, thank you Denkitribe.

  • i would totally buy your cd if you had one!

  • HAWT DANG FELLA! This sounds something magical like!

  • sounds best with synth, there should be mixmatch site or something, to frestyle nintendo stuff, THAT would be COOL!

  • 23 people can't make beats with an EMX while it's dark in the room.

  • awesome!

  • Very nice again. I'm starting to like this stuff, and I'm OLD!

  • Is a high quality recording of this available?

  • @AsylumSeaker i have a mp3 file

  • i am looking on buying an electribe i dont care for drums, i just want a nice synth for doing nice digitally distorted bass lines (boys noize, justice, etc)... would u recommend the EMX or i should just go for the ea mkII? or even the EA1...

  • @mynmyself The EA and MK2 are almost identical. The EA is a dual monosynth. The EMX is a production station with drums and what appears to be more complex synths. Different beasts.

  • what kind of music is that?

  • another Denkitribe treat

  • O that is so cool. Kaoss pads are just sick. I'm wondering tho, can you freely assign which two variables the pad effects? I've never used but one in a synth form which was assigned only to Gate and Note, still really cool though!

That was sick! Great equipment you have there!

  • WHat is that little I pad looking thing to teh side he is using for the ARP for the SYNTH and how much are they?

  • @CoxDzul It's a Mini KaossPad. It's an effects processor. I'm not sure how much they are, but Korg makes them and you can find out on their site.

  • I never get tired of this guy's music...

  • is it basically just a drum machine/synth?

How do you connect it to stuff? Like does it have to be linked up to a synth or can it just be plugged into an amp or what? it looks so interesting :)

  • @omnipitantlyoriginal it is a synthesizer,, but u can hook it up to thingz like the KP3,,Kaossilator(andPRO!!),,and the miniKP as in the video . . . the list is endless but its as simple as midi in/out or audio in/out !!

  • Good.

  • Well done!

  • Nice groove to it.

  • The beginning of this tune sounds a LOT like Al Jarreau's, "Compared To What?" Kind of like Jarreau meets Telstar. BTW, my EMX-1 should be here today...and my tc helicon voicelive 2 gets here later in the week. I am very psyched! Good track.

  • i always wanted one of those... i can play enter shikari!! :D yay where did you buy one? i've been requesting these for over a year now

  • what country are you in

ive just ordered one today and its supposed to be coming tomorow

  • saw it few days ago, it is one of my favourite for now :) i've had the occasion to manipulate the electribe few minuts, in 5 min i'ts easily possible to make something, but your work is on another planet ;)

  • good work!! amazing!!!,ficou 10!!are you can this music with esx -1?

  • it's not

  • You really know how to make that electribe your bitch. YA!

  • 1. Do you perform? If so, for money?

    2. To play the lead, is the keyboard programmed in some kind of arpeggio or scale?

    3. What does the 2nd pad do - it seems to play some kind of background noisy instrument, like an oscillator or something similar.

Thanks for posting, you play great!

  • If you're talking about the miniKP on his lefthand side, it is an effector, check it out in the kaoss section on the korg website, or search miniKP on youtube. The ribbon pad on the EMX is pretty slick.

  • no zajebiste - yes, yes, yes! ;D great

  • Rozpierdalajace !!! :) Great

  • this fucking blew me out!

great music style, great sound quality, great machine!

  • reminds me of megaman music.. i fucking love it

  • @Circasurvive20 no, it reminds of some serious MUTHAF*CKIN' SNES RPG!

    Or Bomberman 64 Music!

    This is.. awf.. aaaww.. AWESOME!

  • @robbzkel the sound quality is too high for snes or n64, but I think you mean the mood of the song.

  • @Circasurvive20 it does sound somewhat like megaman...

  • denkitribe and mryat....Im at a loss of words.

    These guys are geniuses!

  • this is fuckin rad dude.. how long hav u been using an emx to get this stuff out of it? love ur work

  • KIlla Formant Sound man! Awesome quality! I Like that goa bass style.

  • amazing!

  • Sound awesome dude!Well done.I particually like the part @ 2:32!

  • Comment removed

  • beautiful work man, are they factory presets, or you loaded them up yourself?

I just purchased one of these, and it should be arriving fairly soon (within 3 days).

Any advice would be great - im going to be plugging it into my Korg R3 synth/vocoder..

I'm also thinking about getting a Kaossilator.

    anyways, 5/5 stars.. well done!

  • yes sir, this is bangin'.

    9 out of 10

  • You absolute bastard. After listening to this track constantly for days I've been forced to buy a Korg Electribe MX.

This track is a sonic cathedral of sound. F**king awesome.

  • this is fucking quality! really really good work!

  • The Electribe looks complicated, albeit I haven't seen one in person to mess with it (havent had time). But I do plan on getting something like this if not the Electribe itself. I need to get a good recording program to record anything I make along with my guitar, and piano I need to get a Korg Microkorg xl and an electric violin lol.

  • prehaps a korg microX?

  • it's not complicated at all. i think, if you are used to synthesizers, you will know the features of it in no time.

  • I've messed with programs on the computer, nothing close to what I want like Logic Pro and Acid Pro. But It'll just take time for me to get the hang of.

  • Its quite easy to use, despite being so powerful. There are loads of features that you can explore but to get started it really is not difficult and is set out in a fairly user friendly way. Within 20 minutes of opening the box I had recorded my first pattern, using it to record a complete song takes a little while to master. You certainly don't need to be a trained musician to use it. The user manual is pretty good. Also there are some helpful vid here to help you on your way.

  • It depends how low your budget is. I cannot recommend the MX too highly its a gem and a bargain. The DS-10 is also pretty nifty for the price. However I'd go with the MX if you can find a 2nd hand one. You might get as lucky as I did and pick one up cheap. Mine was in a 2nd hand shop with a sign saying "mixer" on it ,and cost £150.00 pounds around $200.00, which was a real bargain. Other than one or two scratches its perfect.

  • lol mixer, that is pretty lucky, if i'de seen a £150 price tag i wudda snapped it up quick sharp, i think the guys in the shop must've been pretty dumb, so kudos to you my man

  • thats awesome! i just got this krog thing for my ds on a whim. totally turned me onto this sorta thing. though the damn thing is a tad complicated for me, its still fun

  • i'm looking for a KORG product...first one...any help? i have a low budget..

  • Depends on what you want. Nanopad/Nanokontrol ($50-60 USD) are midi controlers, I dont own either of them but have seen some vids. A Kaossilator ($200) is a loop machine. I have one and its alot of fun. An electribe ($500) is well worth your money. It has drums sunths, nice effects, etc. etc. If you want to mess with a song on an Ipod or something a mini-kp is a nice unit ($150) Check out vids on here or musiciansfriend has some nice descriptions.

Have Fun, you just started a life long passion

  • sounds loosly gated from the mongoloid cover

  • I find it hard to see what others have said before, so I'll ask the natural question. . .

Are you employed by Korg, and if not. . .why? These clips you present to us should be the *actual* demos included with the unit, as they are far more inspiring than the ones from Korg's website. You certainly have talent!

  • I agree. I also think Denkitribe's hands look suspicioulsly neat.

  • Regardless of how his hands look, I just purchased/received mine, and this box really is as capable and good-sounding as they seem on YouTube. . .better, actually. The vacuum tubes can add a very strong (and cool) touch of "polish" on what's being written, though the thing sounds quite nice without it. I've never bought a piece of electronic equipment that contained demos which I thought were single-viable. . .this is a very good little box.

  • mx and kp3 is my favorite combo, close to this, keep up the good work

  • your music is uplifting and i love the fact it let you travel

  • i love this song :)

  • for a second i was sort of rethinking my decision to buy that mx, but you reassured me that my purchase wasn't such a bad idea.

  • or mena on BOSNIAN ILI > or

  • MY FREND DJ IS NOT A KING AND BOY ALSO NOT

i mean no is no so you all want to destroy my country where all begin you want to destroy soul so you destroy me and the future.

    thx

  • huh?

  • tripping out heh??LOL

  • lol @ 103959770979

  • Very nice.

  • What genre of music would you guys call this masterpiece?

  • it still requires Skills, hard work and a lot of time and energy to make this type of music.

  • LOL get a job! Dumbasses! xD

  • Rofl, Luke shut up.

  • Shut down...

Shut left & Right? Cheah! IM ON FYA!

  • dude in order to make this kind of music it requires so much time and effort. Not to mention an understanding of rhythm and an advanced understanding of harmonizing. I dare you to think that far out of the box.

  • Pure liquid awesome.

  • WoW great track man i like it !!!

  • ahhhh yes!@!! reminds of the days when iused to play with my old es-1. except it oculdnt do half the stuff this one could do. i'm gonna go buy an emx right now. great video!

  • THIS SONG KICKASSS

  • wah!!! it' s cool

  • wow, realy like this..

    sounds ace, you play live?

  • oooooohohohohohohohohohohohohohhhhoooooo!

    heavenly! you are awsome.

    did yoou make any disks? didya didya didya? |} |} |}

  • i was jsut asked myself if i could do all that only on a emx-1?

  • He uses a mini-KP with it ya know?

  • yha but.. all the mini kp does it's not the biggest part you know XD (sorry for my bad english)

  • I'm Confussed. Can someone tell me why Some of the tracks seem unaffected by the Korg mini pad (drums, bass etc) yet others like synth and lead sounds are being altered by the mini pad. The EMX is plugged directly into the mini pad. How does the mini pad shape some sounds and not others??? help. thanks

  • he might be using the kaoss pad's instrument patches rather than its effects. The mini-kp has 10 patches that create independant tones, much like the kaossilator, without changing or needing any input. This you can add some ambience or another part to the mix, but without altering the current sounds. For instance at 1.24 he touches the pad and a synth string sort of sound is produced.

  • OK, that makes sense. Thanks for the reply.

  • Another way to do this is to send all your regullar tracks out the L/R outs, and the ones you want effected by the pad out of the 3/4 outs. this is good for plugging ur effects pedals into just a couple tracks too,

its very useful when you've already used those 3 effects on the emx and you need more. (its also great to send just your bass and kick out the 3/4 so they dont disturb the quality of the other tracks) and so you can feel the true deepness of korgs bass

  • Hey HoweGavin, graet advice on using 3/4 and L/R outputs on the EMX1 to achive FX. Sorry it took me sooo long to get back to ya..thanks JB

  • yeah, I usually send my 3/4 into a kaoss pad, or just clean so the lines dont get tied up, even in the same speaker it just sounds better separating a few of the louder tracks

  • mind blowing! damn, you're great!

  • Robot frogs unite to take over the world

  • HAHHAAA! i like that one!

  • i also have a korg exs,but i can't work it. ha ha ha,cmydread

  • Great track!!! Great skills!!!

  • You are amazing, what cant you do with korg shit. I need to get an EMX now.

  • Too much compressed ;p

    4/5 :)

  • i like the mix..=)

  • when i try to midi in more than one voice, it usually cancels the first one out, does anyone know why this is??

    xox

  • Good track ;)..i've a Korg ESX and i do trax Hardcore

  • like toecutter and shit?

  • very good song! talk mod is soo funny!!

  • Denkitribe, you post the best korg gears videos imho. Very good music~ I really enjoy watching.

  • Good music there aside, dude!

  • Wohoww! Cool MX board!

  • And also... do you know what kind of beat that he's using? cause I dont tink this particular beat is on the machine. Think it might have been used from somewhere, but I dont know where. What was used for the beat? like what measures and what samples? how was all this made? I'm very interested and wanna do something just like that and come up with my own sampling tracks and make it more interesting so that others could hear what music I make and get em heard soon. preciate the help alot. Thank u.

  • DJ Krank.... I see one of the in/out puts connected from the KP into the EMX... whats the other in/out put connected to that he has shown here to make this work? I kinda get what you're sayin, but I'm still just a lil bit thrown off. The cable connectors he has hooked up to the KP are connected to the EMX...what are the other cables and/or connectors hooked up to that I see?? you see what I see here? the yellow or white plug? looks like theres 2 different connectors or something. hard to tell.

  • Those other RCA's are Outputs that go into the amp or recording device.

  • really cool stuff! big up

  • sick

  • O.O

    Oh My gold

  • Denkitribe... I noticed U have the mini KP pad hooked up to the blue machine & was just wondering how you managed to do that. I have both machines that you're using & I also have the Kaossilator and I have the ESX ( along with other machines I proudly own), but y question is this. The EMX & the ESX have no RCA in/out puts. How did you get the EMX hooked up to the Mini KP pad? what did you use to do that? I've been meaning to try that myself, but dont know how. Can you tell me what u did? Thanks.

  • Not sure how the mini KP works, but I would have thought it would be audio out thru the Mini KP to the mix.

Check out some of our tunes whilst your at it. BRAINZ in JARZ

  • I know that this question went to Denkitribe,

but what you can do is buy a stereo cable with

1/4 jacks at one end and RCA's at the other end.

Now connect the 1/4's into the L and R outputs on the EMX-1 and connect the RCA's into the inputs of the Mini-KP. Hope this helps

  • f-zero ftw

  • hahha you pwned that biatch!

  • wow // 5 stars to the top!

  • man you are great! respect :)

  • where can i get that song the man has SKILLS!

  • What is the difference between the two electribes?

  • the blue one just has more of everything! like synth parts and stuff

  • The red (Electribe SX) is a sampler.

The blue (Electribe MX) is a sound generator (synthesizer).

  • sweet thanks.

  • Watching him play is beautiful.

  • Wow... amazing bro, simply amazing. I wish I knew how to use an electribe like that. How did you learn and how long did it take? Do you know things about music theory?

  • How do you find musicians like this? This is nothing like the repetitive boring electronic music I usually hear.

  • When i was KORG i would hire him for demo'ing the stuff...Denki is great..

Korg, you read this?? hire him!

  • Sheer talent!

  • SKILL

  • it would take me years 2 learn that is it really hard?

  • Man that song reminds me of the old Amiga demo scene! Nicely done!

  • Indeed, excellent. :)

  • i thought it was a circuit board for a minute. circuit bent..or something

  • this is really one of the best emx demos on youtube! seriously.

  • i think you got the best sound from the emx

  • again, love yre vid!

  • electribe has a better synth. mc-808 can sample so if u need that do not get the emx. electribe is easyier to use and has the tubes which are a big bonuss. Mc-808 has moterized faders, pretty cool. electribe saves you money. Depends which type of music you are making. but generelly, if u dont need the sampling I would go for the electribe.

  • Hey man great vid. I went to Guitar Center to buy an MC-808 and they didn't even have a demo unit or anything. So the guy was trying to get me to buy this but I didn't know much about it so played around with it for a bit decided to wait.

What do you think about how similar they are. What do you preffer?

  • Genius, Pure Genius

  • Denkitribe the best Dj, i wait your album

  • pff

  • all of those who do not use the mx will fall by the wayside!

those tubes are sikko, i've got some old sears and roebuck tubes that i stole from an organ at goodwill, it sounds fuckin nasty!

click on my name for some experimental live shit done with samplers and loop station by my boy invitro, or maybe a little of my radio show... remember kids, erect a pirate fm station and you can play whatever the fuck you want, including the electribe for hours...

  • woooohoooo!

Still enjoying it, quality jam :)

  • good to see some new e-tribe from you man. keep it up.

  • if your mixer only has rca ins get rca to 1/4" adapters or cables if needed. i would hook ur electribes or microkorgs;(which ever u want effects) audio out to the ins of the mini-kp. hook that to a channel on your mixer. hook your other to the an other channel. if you had any cd players/ turntables that you wanted to use put on another channel and get a mixer with 3 or more channels. u could also use mini-kp with a turntable.

  • got an electribe...got a microkorg, want a mini-KP.

Im jsut wondering...is the best way to hook em all up via a 'conventional' mixer, or a dj mixer?

  • yeah, here we are in the comments, the people who you never see, but always want what the guy in the video has.

    p.s. I want one too

  • EMX or mini-KP? I'm personally wondering how much of the sound is actually like that because of the KP. I have a EMX myself but I can't come up with so full sounds on it alone.

  • Both actually, but i'd rather upgrade to a real KP. How about that Kaossilator? weirdly cool

  • i bought a kaossilator a month back. that little guy has served me well. some awesome sounds. great for bass loops.

  • Wow, more of this kind of stuff!

  • WOW It was like watching myself but not, Nice Work!

  • nah tht first 1 was the best this is just got no soul like the other 1 but still wicked job u smash it.

  • 2.31-2.42 love this part

  • WOW!

    my face just melted off

  • Your really making this machine sing Well done

  • Great song man!

  • Excellent video as usual! keep it up Denkitribe!! 5/5!!

  • awsum!

  • Sweet, ..... as always!

  • Wow, this definitely is going towards my favs.

  • great!!!!

i have no words to express my emotions!!!!

  • yeh good stuff, the lead in the middle was good..!!

  • Wow, this is fantastic O_o

    I want one of these!!!

    Great job!

  • I swear its your videos that make me want to purchase an EMX

  • Greaaaaattttttt!

  • One of the best EMX videos I've ever seen. You are amazing!

  • This is awesome!

  • Excellent! Thanks.

  • WOW! Possibly your best yet (IMHO).

Loved the acid-like part at the start and the lead sequence in the middle. Was that sequence improvised?
