I see images of the opening scene of Fantasia with the director's huge shadow in my imagination. You fill me with heart pounding smiles as I watch your layers of brilliant musical art unfold and burst forth. Mind bending!
Thanks Ed! I like Symphonic type composition. That's what I had planned to do more of, then I started doing YouTube videos instead, but I try to make a few pieces up here and there.
Thanks, Darren! I think I'll do more Symphonic stuff in the future... it just takes a little longer because of the higher level of complexity and there are so many more instruments to compose for, but it's a lot of fun! 8-)
Hi Rene... yeah, movie soundtrack work would be a lucrative proposition! Just don't tell them I don't watch movies... LOL! I guess I'd have to watch them if I was doing soundtracks for them! 8-)
Hi Barry! I use whatever I have or can get my hands on to achieve the final goal of what I'm trying to accomplish. I bounce around different programs when I feel the need to, but DP 5 (and its plugins) is my main workhorse for my music and I'm still using iMovie since I can do alot with it still. 8-)
An excellent Orchestral work Scott, are these all sampled instrument sounds or partial real intruments, the sound quality is very good man. This is a lot of work, but for a creator like you time flies and and you're six hours further because you accidently look on the clock, really good,Victor.
Hi Victor! I did this all with MOTU Digital Performer using the MOTU Symphonic Instrument plugin. I write out the notation and my cyber orchestra plays it for me. The instruments are real instruments recorded onto a DVD soundbank disc. 8-)
Kate, I'm really happy you like this piece! My compositions and arrangements are real special to me. I'm glad I have YouTube to share them with people. 8-)
Hi Dave! Man when you don't keep up responding to comments as they come, you wind up with a lot to respond to later! I'm lucky I don't have 10,000 Subscribers. Thanks for the 5 stars, Brother D! I gotta finish my new Jazz video tonight. More work! 8-)
Thanks Truman! I'm glad you can appreciate Symphonic muzak along with your taste in Americana-style music. They used to use the Banjo 100 years ago to play Classical music. I wonder what the Great Masters of Music would think! 8-)
I love all styles of music, from Beethoven, to Sinatra to speed metal to Classic country to Bluegras to even some rap. Earth, wind & fire, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, old beach boys stuff,Violent femmes etc...etc..etc..
I just love music, and yours is no exception. :-) Peace
WARNING - drinking Starbucks can seriously can seriously affect your state of mind !
So now we know what youve been up to Diesel, i knew it was something big cos of the long break. Its been well worth the wait though, like a crazed SF movie of sorts. Great composing skills, now i need something of Freddys to calm me down a bit. !!!!
Many thanks Diesel its always good to see/hear your work
Yeah, Alex, it's not just how your computer is presenting it to you. The YT compression has blurred the video and muffled the sound, too. Oh, well, glad you can find it entertaining. 8-)
Hi Freddy! I use the MOTU "Symphonic Instrument" plugin with my MOTU "Digital Performer" recording software. It gives me a large pallet of sampled real instruments that I can compose and arrange for with music notation on sheet music scores.
well Bodine, that explains everything,LOL! I think ill go pick the "wildwood flower",your to mucking fuch!seriously i loved it!had to watch it twice to really appriciate it.5*

Love the strings best, and, of course, Brilliant visual imagery.... getting really wild - is that the new programme?
Also.. thanks for the tips on software you're usin'.... one day, us ol' timers might get to have a rummage around that digital performer software.
