  • Hey! I found your #unwasted weekend video randomly from the unwasted weekend site and watched it and picked up that you're Quaker... I am a US liberal Friend! anyway, this was a cool video to watch, just to listen to someone else talk about Quakerism the way I usually have to explain it. Thanks for sharing :)

  • I recently just subscribed to you, and I'll be messaging you because both your channels have intrigued me so much. I hope you'll answer <3

  • @meowitslucy I live in Watford! If I get the chance I will definitely try and come along to one the meetings! And it's no problem, this is one of your more deep, and meaningful videos :)

  • @TheLucyd123 I'm a Quaker from Watford! There's quite a few teenagers who go there :) If you really do want to come along, feel free to ask me for anything you want to know!

  • I went on the Quaker website, and on the 'more about Quakers' page, the video is from my town. I had no idea that there was even a Quaker community here o_o

  • @ahappytune In Watford, you mean? There are loads of Young Quakers there! If you're interested then they have a really inclusive, friendly meeting for worship that you could pop along to one Sunday (:

  • @meowitslucy I would actually, but I feel like believing in God is probably a prerequisite.

  • cool story, bro.

I'd like you to do a vlog about how you found being a vegan for a week, and I'd also like you to do a global (youtube) appeal for my birthday book! haha <3

  • @tillytheelk Will do, Tills! :L

  • Although I personally don't believe in God, your religious view points sound very nice :) and I agree with you about Hitler, in his eyes what he was doing was not wrong and in his mind was justifiable. Either way I say each to their own mind and just accept others and get along peacefully :)

  • @YeldarbPaled I am very appreciative of your tolerance (:

  • Yay now I have an understanding for what Quackers are! :D Xx

  • this all sounds vaguely familiar... :]

  • "I make ethical decisions based on love more then anything else!"

    Great quote and great mentality!

  • @WaistcoatDave Thanks!

  • I think the whole Hitler comparison didn't come out perfectly, but I agree. Hitler was a human being just like the rest of us and there was that of God in him, however deep. In wars the idea that everyone is human is lost, Hitler is an extreme example (I don't know if you can go any more extreme) but the point you made is important. :)

  • @TheKatfish Yeah, I don't think through the majority of VEDJ, scripting-wise, before I film, as you may be able to tell! You articulate my sentiment ten times better than I did. (:

  • Talk about your sexy Skype friends?

  • i don't know if you have seen it or not but there is a video called "why i hate religion but love jesus" which you may or may not find interesting (i tried to post the link but it won't let me)

    Also yay, awesome channel suggestion!

  • @mpdewd2 Yes, I have seen this video. I'm not too sure if I'm comfortable with his definition of Christianity, because that makes the title (basically) mean, "Why I hate religions other than Christianity". I don't think he means that exactly, but it's crossing the line.

  • You're The first person that I've actually heard about Quakerism before, sounds quite interesting

  • @FilmmakerMichael There are usually one or two people from a Quaker background in every school, so I'm not surprised you haven't heard of us before. Not enough to start up union, that's for sure!

  • Nice vlog, thanks! But it seems like you contradicted yourself... at the beginning you said that you think of yourself as quite Christian, then you went onto say that you are more Agnostic or Ethicist than Christian. Do you see your Quakerism as encompassing that spectrum?

  • @jonwattsmusic Maybe it's the difference between "Christians are people who follow Jesus' teachings" and "Christians are people who worship Jesus as a deity."

  • @macoafi That is definitely a valid point, yes.

  • @jonwattsmusic I see what you're getting at... I think I was trying to say that I feel greatly influenced by Christianity because I have been brought up in a predominantly Western/Christian society, however my personal beliefs are more agnostic than your typical Christian. I believe Quakerism to encompass my more agnostic tendencies. I hope that explains my stance slightly better!

  • @meowitslucy By the way, I love your channel! I have been subscribed for a fair few months and many of my Young Quaker friends have discovered your videos. You are well-known in the British circles for addressing what many believe but cannot articulate (:

  • @meowitslucy did you mean this to you?

  • It's really interesting seeing other people's perspectives on different topics. Me=Enlightened!

  • @TheLucyd123 I am glad that you took the time to watch this video, even though it may not have been as light-hearted as my others!

  • I like finding out about different religions/different banches of religions so I really enjoyed todays VEDJ :) I enjoy every day but extra today haha :)

  • @SophAndBritt It's lovely to hear about open-minded people like yourself on Youtube. I'm glad I was able to shed some light on my faith! (:

  • @meowitslucy Aw thank you! On both accounts! :)
