So, is truth really non-discernable? After 20 years in the Greek N.T. I threw away Doctrines - systematic, relativistic doctrines you guys call truth. Controversies, confusion, conflict, and finally cognative dissonance make God's glorious church go ICHABOD, and I mean it. It stinks. Jesus is Lord and what he said and directs is simple. Duh, was Jesus a Calvinist or Arminian? You polarize the people tho you don't mean to. No, require THEM to read, study and confess GOD's words, not mens!

Ravi! Think. "Are they bored with God?" What?! They are bored of sitting in pews! Forget this mclaren or whoever and discern. Where is God in modern ministry??? I want people around me reading, thinking, DAILY, discussing, praying, provoking one another to good works.
I used to "bless" people with powerful, punchy, passionate sermons. I saw transformed lives, but church is sick. I decided to do it Jesus way; Huh? Wow oh no! Look out! You cant do it like that?? HIS ministry model is best!

Postmodern thought and the Truth issue! Exactly, but think you guys. You hold opposite views as if truth is non-discernable (calvinism/arminianism) and then evangelism flounders, prayers are rarely answered in most institutional churches, churches become simple social events or a place where one man stands up and speaks l e n g t h i l y and everyone goes home! What? Wheres discipleship, fishing for men, "reasoning" etc. etc. I was a preacher like you guys, but became bored with church!

THe reason this happens is because we find God and we realize that the orthodox church is just like the pharisees.They make rules and if you dont abide you are a heretic and someone you want to stone.Seriously they have to know that they are many churches that make up the church of CHrist.The church is made up of puddles but together they are one shrimp.That is what the disciples taught.We are one,we confess one Christ and one love to God.Those who dont agree condemn themselves not us who condem
