  • Love em hate em this is a huge track from the most competitve decade to have a hit.

  • Haha, sad stadium wannabes :)

  • one of these men.... work on my fire o.o! He's now in angelian Gas LMAO

  • another forgotten gem from the best decade to have been a teenager in !!!!

  • @jimjams1976 True .......so True

  • Bill Paxton, Slipstream, crazy eighties movie with this in it - go find!

  • radio one and gary davies.....

  • No more beautifull songs like that no more bands like that,,,,forever jericoooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This song takes me back to sitting in Technical Drawing at school... The teacher used to let us listen to our walkmans (!) while we were being creative. Being mildly obsessed with Then Jerico for about 5 minutes in 1988, I was creative enough to spend 3 lessons perfecting freehand lettering of 'The Motive'. It didn't count towards my GCSE coursework however and I got a 'U'. Such a rebel! Loved those years, loved this song, great memories!!!

  • AAAAARRRRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!! Memories sweet memories........i can picture me now in the front row on the right hand side jumpin & singin this at the Aston Villa Leisure Centre at the same time gettin severe tinnitus which I still have now from that verry concert......shame this video skips a bit tho....but thanx for sharing anyway ;-) xx

  • nice mullet.. perfectly topped off with a beret :)

  • crackin 80s tune so underrated

  • They don't make em like that any more... Great song

  • takes me back to life before stress!

  • IF YOU LIKE THIS MUSIC I HAVE MORE SONGS IN MY CHANNEL

  • brilliant

  • ah man...wish i was back then ha ha no kids wife or respsabilities .....pissed again god bless the 80's YAA

  • @MrKurtKnopfler They are still around! Google "Mark Shaw: Then Jerico Facebook" . He has a page where he lets you know about up and coming gigs etc. (Yes they still play! ). Great stuff.

  • Only 300,000 hits - shocking. An absolute classic

  • Mark Shaw and the boys,,,,,,,fantastic

  • @bigjoe1759 Then jerico are still gigging! go to see info at "then jerico mark shaw face book" page and press LIKE. A fab band!

  • please..take me with you, back in 80s where i belong. nothing seems to be better ever after..

  • Sorry Claire u picked up the piss heads!!!!

  • This is within the best 50 hits ever..at the same level of for instance Fleetwood Mac...My opinion

  • @alvaro29031973 Then jerico are still gigging! go to see info at "then jerico mark shaw face book" page and press LIKE. A fab band!

  • People are more interested in "celebrity" and being famous now, than in real talent. Having to play pubs and clubs and do real live gigs to pay your dues before working up to the successful stages and the longivity past bands clearly have - which recent overnight sensations will NEVER have. "Oh I can sing in my shower so that means I will be great on X facter and can be famous overnight !" Well - clearly not ! Coz where the hell are any of them now? Jerico are still gigging after 25 years

  • This was a crackin tune back in the day when TALENT was the only way!!! Each time l hear songs from the 80's l always think what a hotbed of groups & singers there was around!! Not like a lot of the computer generated pure crap now... Back then the artists wrote all their own material, played all their own instruments & SANG LIVE !! All this dubbin crap now..yeh there is talent still out there but its not performin live like the likes of Then Jericho!!! These type of bands never die!!!

  • @Aullyboy Totally agree. Jerico are still gigging. Very good too. Went to see them in London this week. VERY GOOD. 25 years later Mark Shaw is still doing it. How many of X Factor are doing that even one year later - NONE, ZERO !

  • reminds me of the alarm

  • Mark will be performing this song and other classic on June 10th 2011 at The Mercer restaurant London, for more details email warren@themercer.co.uk

  • @sunray1100 - I think i disagree, actually. if you're talking about things like the X-Factor, it's been proven time and time again that even if you win it, you need talent to have a shelf life. if anything it's harder for real musicians now. Record companies are nowhere near as willing to take risks and don't have the financial fire power they once had. You used to get signed on one song. These days you basically have to be successful on the road by yourself before they even sniff you.

  • @monsieured Hhhhmm... some of it I agree with you... other parts not at all. How many of the last 5 year's X factor winners are still around. Even last year's (Joe) fell into oblivion almost immediately and has reduced himself to going onto a reality second rate singing show before he even released a song? Why? Coz his record label dropped him. He was without real talent. Just the best of a bad bunch at the time. I remember when Leon won a couple of years ago. Same thing happened.

  • Mark Shaw was a talent. Original all the way. They didn't go far enough in my opinion. I know (and he does too) that poeple always say his ego was too big. But he was a young guy, who lived the dream and just enjoyed it. Probably couldn't believe his luck at breaking through and "making it". It wasn't as easy to "make it" in those days as it is now. You had to be so much more talented back then to make any impact. Now, pretty face, big tits and an auto tuner will suffice.Love this!

  • Tuuunnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeeeee,,,

  • I heard this song on a dance radio station online yesterday. Can anyone tell me who remade this song????

  • Valencia of course.

  • Love this song and The Motive. The problem with Then Jerico was that they were too good looking for the boys and too rocky for the girls. Saw them live at a small gig in Ashton a while ago, MILFtastic

  • I love this band and i'm still listening to the 2 albums. What happened to Mark Shaw?

  • Free Then Jerico gig at the Mercer, London Sept 25th (next week) if my memory serves me correctly...................... He is still going strong!

  • He made a fool of himself on a TV show called 'Reborn in the USA'. He was vile to Michelle Gayle and stubbed his cigarette out in her dinner - or so he thought. He hadn't realised she'd switch seats when he got up to talk to someone else at the table, and actually stubbed the cig out in his own meal! Served him right. And he got kicked off the show.

  • Had the privelidge of seeing them in 89, went to backstage party and the delicious Mark Shaw wanted to get to know me but my then fiancee got extremely jealous and whisked me away pretty quickly - oh to be young and gorgeous again!!!

  • Lie.

  • awesome - classic

  • me parece que te equivocas con tu respuesta a miguel041973......en ningun momento ha dicho que esto no sea un temazo....que lo es......un saludo scanner1978

  • I remember this song from the late 80's. And yes, it is a great song, but i also remember that so many times this song, not the band, being compared to Big Country on the radio stations. All i can say now, as i was saying then is Big Country ROCK !!!
