My opinion is that they changed the design too much in the last years of the 70-ies. A car designer team must be very sensitive when they change the design of a car. I like the new design of the Mustang. The Ford, Mustang designer team knows what is the soul, the source of the Mustang design. That is why Mustang is right on an awesome car with its design of the year 2011 and so on.
Why not try to do the same with the GTO and with the Chevelle? Will it be a success? Yes!
Please relaunch the Pontiac GTO with design of the 60th,70th! I live in Europe. I'm just waiting to see races with Mustangs (great design), Camaros (great design) and the new Charger (expect a beautiful brutal design) on the big racing tracks and also racing the Pontiac GTO with that beautiful design. I just wait with my icecold bear - and just enjoy! Make it real GM! We (= a lot of Muscle Cars lovers) just wait!

@FATMIKED518 Not to split hairs here but in 1963 GM issued a corperate ban on racing! Pontiac was in the works on an OHC 421 at the time the ban was issued. The HEMI was huge success and a great engine. But they came after GM pull out of racing.
