  • "In our absence, we created(THE BEST ALBUM EVER) an album called sing the sorrow"

  • AFI never "sold out." It doesn't matter if they're not hardcore anymore, do you expect them to rewrite Black Sails 4 times over and still like to play? Henry Rollins even said "Do you have any idea what some of these bands went through to make that music? The fact that there might be some money for them all these years later is great. You think that paycheck is in any way a slight to their integrity? Are you fucking kidding me? Pay them. Pay them now. It's about fuckin' time."

  • Hunter thou art a legend

  • @sociallooter nah im afraid u may be gay afi gets more poon than u can ever dream of.

  • Thanks so much for the upload. I was at this gig, and I remember it being filmed. We all thought there was going to be a tour DVD, but it never arrived.... When was this broadcast? Did any other footage make it onto TV?

  • I believe it was broadcasted on TV very soon after. They recorded Strength Through Wounding, The Prayer Position, Sacrifice Theory and Girl's Not Grey. I'm pretty sure all of these but Strength Through Wounding were broadcasted because I can't find it. You can find The Prayer Position by looking up: The Prayer Position Live 2003.

  • i remember when i first got sts i hadnt heard any singles, i never listen to them. i wanna be surprised. 1st track was like "o another good intro"

2nd track was great! 3rd was... okay. little out of the norm of afi. 4th was wtf?? 5th was classic afi sound. 6th was good, little punk roots here and there. 7th was holy shit!! amazing. rest of the album had to grow on me. but home is nowhere was my favorite rite away. but eventually i came to love it all. its their 2nd best (black sails is 1st)

  • god i miss this band, look at the energy the anger now they suck thats all!!!

  • @dutchuribe

Yeah I felt the same, I hate their new album and didn't particularly enjoy Decemberunderground but I chanced upon a ticket to a recent show, they played with sick of it all, and I got to say: AFI still have got it live. It's just a shame they've decided to head down this new cleaner sound (which of course as artists they're entitled to), it's just not for me. As I said though, live their new songs sound hardcore!

  • They also played "Now The World" at the same Arizona show as well - I was there!

  • Did they play anything other than Girl's Not Grey off Sing the Sorrow there aswell?

  • @zombeast are there any recordings of "Now The World" from that concert online? It's my favorite AFI song, and I can't find any :(

  • i was there

  • They played Girls Not Grey at a show in January 2003 in Phoenix, AZ. January 18 or something. They did a small southwest tour right after getting out of the studio before heading over to UK. The Start and F-Minus opened for them.

  • I thought the Pheonix show was in March. Did they play Dancing Through Sunday there too? I didn't see Girl's Not Grey on the setlist so, Thanks!

  • @nodoubtxvandal it was theSTART and All Bets Off!

  • I have no recollection of All Bets Off, but F-Minus was there because I got a shirt. They have the girl singer/bass player.

  • @nodoubtxvandal yes that is F-Minus. I wonder if it was based on location. Here in socal we got theSTART and All Bets Off.

  • Before sing the sorrow !!! *_*
