My biggest problem with religion is that those claiming to have one almost always live in direct contradiction to their teachings.

Dr. Swift's insights are helpful and right on the mark. I love the way he noted that the "teachings" reflect certain things rather than being presumptuous about people's beliefs. We really ultimately do share more in common than we are made to think by the media, both liberal and conservative.
