In this romantic song you can still hear in his voice he is a cantor. What beautiful frasing. My grandparents loved this man. He was a legend in his time.
@78collector I can understand why they loved him. I only recently came across him about 18 months ago and immediately liked his voice. I then researched him and found many recordings of him which I really enjoy. He was a great favourite in Holland and sang there often, I have read. Such a sad end. I then became interested in other Jewish artists that suffered during 33 - 45.
