  • Earth has the worst traffic in the Galaxy? You want to have a look in your own back yard bear. They were driving like mad cunts!

  • This was a good way to teach the kids about road safety I certainly remember this.

  • Isn't there a longer version of this? I remember an extended version which had more time on Planet Spot, with Blotch telling Spotty off for not watching the road. Superted then tells Spotty to look for a Zebra Crossing, to which Spotty rejects as "zebra crossings have stripes".

  • By the wounds of Jebus, Spotty is pretty stupid, no?

  • Wow, I actually remember seeing this in infant school circa 1987! Thanks for posting! It makes perfect sense that Spotty's female companion is called Blotch - you can have blotches on your skin too!

  • What fucking use are you SuperTed if you can't be there to save me???

  • @ScrewAttackEurope He's really only talking to the Engilsh.

  • @Applemask I am English.

  • @ScrewAttackEurope Exactly. No saving Saes oppressors.

  • i still remeber seeing this in my primary school in the early 90s I often hear "Not behind the bus Spotty" if i'm near parked vehicles. it really sank in

  • Haha i remember this from years ago, nice one!

  • EVERY. TIME. I. CROSS. BEHIND. THE. BUS.

i hear superted shouting 'not behind the bus, spotty'

every time. jesus. and the YOU MIGHT FALL OVER, part. god damn i think this ad scarred me more than all the other slow motion backwards car crash ads combined

  • We used to watch this in Primary School! Thank you!! 5/5

  • I had a book version of this when I was growing up. Don't know where it went. The end bit of "I can't be there to save you" always put me on edge as a child. Still does. There is a sense of real danger there if you are open to sensing it.

  • i just got the super ted collection lol saved this in faves i learned to cross with this vid gonna play it to my son thankyou for putting this up

  • This is the greatest cartoon ever! Not behind a bus Spotty! And Blotch still annoys me to this day!

  • Great secret magic word, Superted.

  • thats meant to be quite

  • i so remember watching this and loved the fact that it were done in my home city of cardiff . . though i must say that road is never that quit to cross and look at the old arm's park ( when they crossed over the road ) memory come flooding back.

  • Thanks for posting this....I had been looking for this. I still remember him saying "I can't be there to save you...."

  • The last part is in Cardiff! :D

  • I actually remember watch this as a kid aged 3 or 4 I was in a neighbour's watching superted & this came on straight after it on ITV

super ted - "remember I can't be there to save you, especially on the planet earth"

if kids watch stuff like this maybe they would have learn the green cross code better

  • danm! i remember watching this in infans school lol

  • Aye, it is Cardiff. At 01.07 the large building on the opposite side of the road is the Forte Posthouse hotel (now Holiday Inn)and in the far background at the end you can see the pre-Millenium Stadium Cardiff Arms Park!

  • Certainly thought me.

  • Not behind the bus spotty!

    Classic.

  • I still remember that line.

Superted: "Remember I can't be there to save you, especially on the planet Earth."

What planet does he come from then!? XD

  • Aww, I remember watching this in Welsh as a kid. I miss the days of decent kid's cartoons - it's all in 3D nowerdays and there's so much animation going on it must give kids motion sickness...

  • I remember this being a lot longer, starting with superted kicking spotty's arse on a road crossing video game !

  • OMG! I thought I'd never see this again! It's amazing XD It's made my day :)

  • wow i've been searching 4 this 4 ages... i saw it once after a closedown on citv years ago... thanx 4 uploading!

  • This is good to teach little children how to cross the road

  • Indeed, I remember this advert from when I was a kid.

It would certainly still be good to use these days, along with the Fireman Episode about Safety.

  • Oh my God, I've been looking for this for ages!!! Thanks!!! Classic!!!

    NOT BEHIND THE BUS SPOTTY!!

    Hee hee!!!

  • cardiff arms park still exists

it is next to the millenium stadium

i know as i live in cardiff

and they landed next to the clock tower of cardiff castle

  • Wasn't the voice of Blotch that of Una Stubbs?

  • It was Sheila Staefel in the series, but it does sound like Una Stubbs here, maybe they got her in for the PIF.

  • @Applemask It's Wendy Padbury I believe.

  • @HTprods According to Trimble. That's pretty extremely cool.

  • I've wanted to see this for a long time, not seen it since I was a kid. One hugely obvious thing in it that I hadn't noticed before - When they land on Earth - they are in Cardiff Center..next to the castle. I know Superted is Welsh, so I'm pleased to see they recreated Cardiff as it was.

  • Right by Arms Park, too. Just about everything SuperTed did happened in Cardiff. They have Torchwood to protect them now though.

  • I'll take a small bear with a magic powder habit over that haircut any day.

  • I was wanting to watch this in a long time

Not behind the Bus Spotty. I think spooty was dumb back then

  • We were forced to watch this on loop for about 20 minutes during a school trip to the local police station.

    Cunts.

  • UTV were still showing this PIF around five years ago... great stuff.

  • Who in 2001 even remembered SuperTed?

  • "I can't be there to save you, especially on Earth!"

    Translation: "You're fucked, kiddies!"

(At least, that's how my warped mind sees it)
