Breaking up the show is positive, but the inserts need more work, should lampoon network news inserts, and establish breaks w/more of a punch.

The sponsor break reminds me of Carson & MacMahon's Alpo commercials in a GOOD way. Try having even more fun with it. The background needs to not be the newsroom, and try a dry "now a word from our sponsor" insert.

The funny thing about the "are we in a recession" thing is that the gov't figures are so bogus that they'll probably show we aren't. Just like they show there's no inflation because we look at "core inflation" which is basically the inflation result after you subtract inflation. Amazingly, the number is always quite low.

I wonder how the trillions of dollars of stimulus and bailouts get figured into GDP?

We've probably doubled "the economy" overnight with all those new dollars!
