Impressive, but like most of these technical players, he's probably completely unable to actually write a song that isn't just shredding through a single scale for 6 minutes. Just seems to happen. Most likely due to the fat they practice on their speed, accuracy, pre-written songs, and scales, but never experiment around or 'get in the groove'. Shame, really.

There are tons of really insanely technical guitarists who amount to nothing. Not saying that this kid will amount to nothing, but there is more to guitar than just playing arpeggios and shredding. Just look at Marshall Harrison, Daniel Owens, and all the other ridiculously technical players that can't get signed.

and just because nobody has spent the time trying to copy a guitarist doesn't mean they cant do it if they wanted. i myself can play a couple gilbert solo's and its just a matter of putting in a week or so to learn them

I don't know, we're all different. I play Bass (with my fingers) and raking (which is what it's called on bass while using your fingers) isn't hard at all. I consider it cheating when you are trying to play fast. I might add, anything is hard if you don't how how but raking is one of those techniques that, with a little practice, becomes easy.
