If you take Air Canada to Beijing are the flight attendants Chinese or Canadian? Because I'm thinking of going to Kazakhstan from Calgary and the Van-Beijing-Almaty route seems much cheaper.

I'm wondering because last time I took it to Beijing from Vancouver I picked Air China I think... and the flight crew spoke not so good English and had not-so-kind attitude. No offense to any Chinese though, I just want a smoother communication with the flight crew, it would be fine if they spoke English.

@BarloG911 They are a mix. All crew members are Canadian citizens but some may be of Chinese ethnicity. Either way, all crew members are fluent in English and some are fluent in both Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.

@SteU4IA Yes but all off them also have to speak french because there was many complaints from Air Canada custemers who wasn't served in french.

@dimitris8869 Thanks. I dont know the seat number specifically. but it was somewhere near the last 6 rows of seats. Somewhere in the middle of the rear cabin.

yea that was tire smoke. The tires are near the joint of the wing and the wing box so thats probably why i saw the smoke. But then again i didnt see it on the flight back.

Yes, a small stopover in Beijing then on to Dalian. The view coming in is great and the whole landscape looks gorgeous. 13 hours from Toronto isn't bad either I've always wanted to take a 777

Yeah Flight 31 on an AC773, I was curious about the service and food too I mean it IS a 13 hour flight lol. As long as they have drinks like they do on Jazz the food can be so so and I wouldn't mind, but they keep coffee and soda and whatnot coming on Jazz flights from what I've experienced and that makes the flights pretty good.

The service is pretty much the same with any AC long haul flight. How ever the attitude of the flight attendents varies greatly. i did, however, ask for 2 large 1L bottles of water and got them, so i thank them for that.

very nice. great view of those mongolian mountains. Canada customs was fine as im a citizen ... china was like any other. Are you doing the same trip?
