An art doesn't live or die on the basis of audience demographics: if one person is listening to another person playing, the art survives. Whether the audience in a particular video looks younger or older than the person viewing it has led to a good deal of excited -- and ultimately -- irrelevant conversation. Better to listen to the music than to debate its future!
The young listeners, and most of the middle-aged listeners are elsewhere; have been for some time. You are unlikely to see them at traditional jazz events unless they are dragged there by their older and wisers. This profound music is not dead but it is regrettably marginalized.

Because the musicians are younger than the audience I think this music will survives. Where are the young listeners?
