  • beautiful

  • this is the most beautiful song in the world. if you do not like this song, there is something wrong with you

  • House of Leaves, and the Navidson Record. I can't stop hearing this song and thinking of them....

  • straight to video.

  • @nintendeon hahah

  • My god, make this go on forever.

  • the drums on this remind me incredibly of "gyroscope" by boards of canada.

  • linda! *-*

  • Very Phillip Glass

  • this song makes me cry all the time....its so deep.

  • This is such a depressing song. Why would they put it at the end of a great album?

  • @DaftLinkI17 lol what?

  • @DaftLinkI17 Because sometimes that's the best way to end an album: save the most meaningful and powerful song for last.

  • @DaftLinkI17 I personally think the depressing pace fits the end of this album. One of the best album closers ever, in my opinion.

  • @DaftLinkI17 Because there is no better way to end a fantastic album than with this song.

  • This is brutal as hell.

  • what a song! what a band! i love this song..

  • This song is beautifully bleak. "Mephistopheles is just beneath, and is reaching up to grab me" is one of the most chilling lines in Radiohead's catalogue.

  • You are my centre when I spin away...

  • Last year i had psychosis and shit due to over anxiety. During that time, mom was on meth and cheating on my dad while he worked days and nights. I always listened to this when i was freaking out. I draw...and i remember i used to always scribble on my desk and paper with thick sharpie. My heart always sinks when i listen to this song, and i always smell sharpie, even if i don't have a pen near me. ...I fucking love radiohead.

  • this song always hypnotizes me

  • This song is haunting, thats the only word i can use to describe it.

  • these song make me cry i dont know why

  • devil, show me the truth of forgiveness!

  • these notes were in illegal land in church once

  • heal the devil

  • live on forever videotape

  • stay with us Thom.

  • Good luck world. Top that.

  • In rainbows.

  • oh i got chills!

  • This will be my funeral song.

  • @cristilm1 ^^ on mine too..

  • I first heard this song when I was 9 or 10 while snooping on my sister's iPod... My life was changed, I love you Radiohead! :P

  • As the real life drums give way to a barely distinguishable electronic counterpart, Yorke trails off, his piano gently uncoils, and the song ends with a whimper. The whole thing is an extended metaphor, of course, and, this being Radiohead, it's heavy-handed in its way, but it's also a fitting close to such a human album. In the end, that which we feared came true: In Rainbows represents the sound of Radiohead coming back to earth. Luckily, as it turns out, that's nothing to be afraid of at all.

  • @NilsKills Holyshit.

  • One day, after not paying much attention to this song, I realised just how good it was.

  • hauntingly, devastatingly beautiful

    just like you were

  • I listened to this song one night while I was painting, just thinking. I was thinking about how this song is about someone who committed suicide, about how I can relate to those kinds of feelings. Then I was thinking about the part where he mentions Mephistopheles, a demon, and that night I had a horrible nightmare about the devil coming for me. And I'm an atheist, so it's pretty weird. Now every time I hear this song, it has this physical effect on me where I freak out and start crying. idk man

  • @SlymeGreen that was actually pretty interesting to read by the way

  • @SlymeGreen Holy shit...you really just made me realize the kind of emotion Radiohead can convey into its listeners

  • @liligman True that. Their music is like condensed emotion or something, but instead of being toned down it's just as intense as ever. Radiohead will always be legendary.

  • @SlymeGreen The anti-God is one with itself and forever alone and takes us all down = " the man who sold the world "

  • @SlymeGreen You should paint something linked to that demon. Would be awesome.

  • chills.

  • 240p, we meet again.

  • Que es hermosa esta cancíon, el piano le da todo el toque sí

  • This makes me proud to be British.

  • @TimDraws this makes me proud to have dual citizenship in your wonderful land

  • @thisisdrugs aha, yes. the wonders of being a citizen in 2 countries.

  • and he's reaching up to grab me......

    on videotape......

most perfect day I have ever seen.....

Why is Radiohead have the best reflective and depressing lyrics? (besides The Antlers)

  • this song is perfect

  • Comment removed

  • I really can't think of a better song. Not one.

  • get high and listen to this song and drift away...

  • Dr. Pepper- the official soft drink of radiohead!!

thumbs up if you get it.

  • @LolaLavonda please explain

  • Can I ask you to rate my Radiohead artwork ?

    Type:

Where I end and you begin - Artwork SECOND draft

  • What is the significance of red blue green in this song?

  • Comment removed

  • @BlotBlackInk google 'rgb'. screens and monitors usually produce colour by combining very small red, blue and green lights and varying their intensity. these lights are visible, if you look at a monitor close enough.

  • I still cry when I think of her.

    I still remember our memories..

Memories are what this song resemble to me. I have all the memories in me (videotape).

I wish I could go back in time and change every mistake I did, or live in an alternate universe where I'm still with her..

  • When I'm at, the pearly gates, this will be on my videotape,(2x) Mephistopheles is just beneath, and hes reaching out,to grab me This is one for the good days, and i have it all here, in red,blue,green(2x) u are my center, when i spin away, out of control on videotape, on videotape, on videotape. This is my way of saying goodbye, cause i cant do it face to face I'm talking to u before No matter what happens now, u shouldn't be afraid because today has been the most perfect day ill ever see
  • "you are my centre when i spin away"

  • blood /...

    some one's bleedin'

    haha

    farewell all...

  • Radiohead is so cool. :)

What I love about music is that everyone interprets it differently and one song can mean one thousand things. <3

  • Moved 3000 miles away from home to a whole other continent, this song reminds me that this is one, for the good days.

  • belissimo

  • UNICEF

  • I've probably listened to this song over fifty times by now, not including listening to the album as a whole. And I JUST NOW noticed the out of time hi hat at 3:06 that sounds so awesome. I feel stupid and amazed.

  • My Teacher showed me this song and its great with the guy breathing for hes last breath

  • I listen to this song on repeat and one time I'll find myself listening to just the snare, another just the lyrics, another just the piano... it's unreal

  • gonna be honest/. i have yet to play this song all the way through. It's WAYY too repetative. i love the lyrics but i cant stand more than about 2 minutes of it

  • I don't know if this is about suicide, but it is definitely about Thom leaving someone who he cares for. "And I have it all here/ In red, blue, green" tells me that he's videotaped some happy memories with whoever it is that he's cherishing. I also got a sense that he's made this one last videotape of himself as his "way of saying good-bye/ Because I can't do it face to face." He'll leave the videotape for his loved one(s) to find, but by the time they do, he'll be gone.

  • @freetheshrooms damn dude...

  • @freetheshrooms the song is about his son, Noah, and probably his wife. He knows he'll never be able to say goodbye to them when his time comes (not by suicide) because he loves them so much; instead he leaves this song to remind them of how happy they made him, using his memories in the videotape as an example. If you think about it the "Don't be afraid" line makes a lot more sense in the context of leaving his son which, as with all fathers, he one day will have to

  • 15 people didn't get through the pearly gates

  • amplive

  • I think... this is about... suicide. I am right? I am not sure. But... definitely, about suicide or any concept, this is beautiful.

  • "You are my center when I spin away." This guy's so good he makes people want to quite writing songs.

  • I can't tell if this depresses me or cheers me up.

  • @GaldonEyeStudios That's when you know the true power of music, it touches our emotions, thoughts, and our hearts. It literally changes what we're feeling. Not all music has that power. Radiohead certainly has achieved this, though. Love every moment of it.

  • @GaldonEyeStudios The reason Radiohead is so great. Radiohead's music is composed of so many combined emotions. Just like the human mind. At one point in life they feel the happiest they have ever been. Then, at another point in life they feel as though they would never be happy again.

  • This is like.. amazing.

  • Alas.

  • I wish there was a raped button..

  • @Refersmokerr There is, it's called you're bum hole.

  • 15 people need their ears checked.

  • 14 people are retarded.

  • this holds so many memories for me-such a beautiful song <3

  • this song hypnotizes me.

  • This song is a detress message to all the sadness in the world! It's like a tsunami of feelings that's neverending! I love this song so much that no words can can place the state of mind i'm...

  • Radiohead always close out with a heavenly song just like they did with The Tourist and A Wolf At The Door, etc., etc.,

  • the memories of my mind. the puzzle crumbles. the glass pieces shatter, never to be put back together again. the only thing i have left is the memories of my mind. the videotape that i can play back...remembering the happiest days of my life. but so frail...never thought the end of a smile would come so soon. but as the pieces fall, new ones remain in the mess....hopefully these pieces will begin to draw out the picture that i need in my life. hopefully this new picture wont crumble....hopefully

  • @jjmonman ummmm a bit overdramatic. i understand the song is great, but come on.

  • @poprocks187 But what about his crumbling picture! OR THE GLASS!

  • @letthegalaxyburn well get a broom to sweep it up. lol.

  • @poprocks187 the thing is dude...u dont understand lol...-_- when a song explains exactly how your feeling, sometimes u cant help it...

  • @jjmonman no i understand, lol. plenty songs, or anything for that matter, can touch someone very deeplt to their core, and in a way speak to them on exactly how they're feeling or what they're thinking. i just thought it was a tad overdone lol. granted, thats just seeing things from my point of view, maybe it was just a simple explanation in your eyes. at least for me, i like the song to speak for itself, not others, lol.

  • @jjmonman Deep man.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!

  • ................unexplainable

  • Bad quality

  • Best Ending Tracks of the Albums

    1 - Motion Picture Soundtrack

    2 - A Wolf at the Door

    3 - Street Spirit

    4 - Videotape

    5 - Separator

    6 - Blowout

    7 - Life in a Glass House

    8 - The Tourist

  • I've listened to In Rainbows on several occasions, and never much cared for this song. Then today, it was playing and...

My soul was lifted from the abyss.

  • This song would be perfect without the sloppy drum rolls. =/

  • I think they DEFINITELY should have made this song the main song in the movie Super 8, such a beautiful yet sad song...

  • Saddest Song :(

  • If you mean best endings rather than best songs at the end, well either way I would not have Motion picture soundtrack at the top. Motion picture soundtrack sounds to me as a solemn reminder of Radiohead before Kid A. I would do as follows, and I am listing by best songs that also happen to be at the end of the album:

    1 - Videotape

    2 - The Tourist

    3 - Life in a Glass House

    4 - A Wolf at the Door

    5 - Street Spirit

    6 - Motion Picture Soundtrack

    7 - Separator

8 - Blow Out (As always)

  • Best ending tracks of the albums in my opinion

    1) Motion Picture Soundtrack

    2) Life in a Glasshouse

    3) Street Spirit (Fade out)

    4) Videotape

    5) The Tourist

    6) A Wolf at the Door

    7) Separator

    8) Blow Out

this song is beautiful there is no doubt, i just cant take all the emo comments

  • @tanetane1 emo comments? what like intelligent comments relating to emotions formed after hearing the song?

plus, homophobic comments aren't any better. they're far far worse.

  • Good points about this song- Too many to list

Bad points about this song- It Ends.

  • @Mikefoot1

  • Videotape is the most beautiful Radiohead song, i don't find it sad at all, i find it beautiful.

  • If I could, I'd give 1,000 thumbs up to ALL THESE COMMENTS. You're all such amazing fans. Of an amazing group of talented people.

Radiohead made me who I am. I am beautiful.

  • for some reason, this song makes me feel like its okay to die, and kinda makes me want to die too

  • wow... i wonder if anyone noticed the symbolism? when there is that tapping sound, it reminded me of that omen where they say if you hear tapping on wood (of the death watch beetle) it means that someone is going to die...

    awesome song!

  • Comment removed

  • @WillowwValentine Are you out of your mind?!?!

A Wolf At The Door is probably Radiohead's worst song from 1995 onward. And The Tourist is probably the most intense ending track ever on an album. Something I like from your list though is that you didn't put Blow Out in a low position, it's an underrated track.

  • @terepotere

"A Wolf At The Door is probably Radiohead's worst song from 1995 onward"

    W-what the---...Not even

  • @terepotere Your opinion, man.

Now she's with someone else, and me being the idiot I am, messaged her.. I told her how much I missed her (while listening to this song) and her response to this message is talk about how happy she is, how she doesn't care anymore, and tells me to "Fuck off, Idiot" I want to end my life, play this song on my funeral.

  • @iD3ATHxR3V0LUTiiONxX

been there dude...youre not an idiot...you just made a mistake...we all have...you will eventually get over it and move on....please dont do anything stupid. fall in love with yourself again and emphasise the positives in your life and dont judge yourself by other peoples happiness...it just doesnt work that way...were all human and we all sometimes struggle to make sense of this world and our lives. its a crazy world but it is better for you being in it. keep the faith! x

  • @iD3ATHxR3V0LUTiiONxX Dude, every day is a new day. Learn from your mistakes and grow.

  • what other songs are there in this world, by any band, that are like this?

  • I am very young.

I've known this song for years, and i can never get tired of it.

My parents have exposed me to Radiohead ever since i was born, and this song is so important to me.

This song hits me the hardest,

    makes me get goosebumps,

    sends chills down my spine.

this song spills my emotions into one big pool of calm devotion.

It just makes me want to dissolve into my seat,

    makes me want to melt.

Am i the only one that feels this way?
