Would everyone just STFU about the drummer and styles and check out the kit on this? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is the first E-kit with triple zone for all the crashes... and chokable! You don't have to hard-sell me on that... I'm definitely getting one of these kits. And then changing them to proper drumheads lol.
Thanks 2box for making the best e-Drums ever! Thanks Bengt and I honour you for not giving upp this market since Ddrum..... Cheers! I just got mine and I LOVE IT!
It really doesn't matter how much it costs, £300 or £1800, electronic drums just don't feel like acoustic drums, still though, considering how convenient they are it sort of makes up for it.
@ChemHandbook Oh you are so wrong.... Check out this, when I close my eyes while playing it is like sitting behind my Sonor-kit in the old days... Especially compared to sitting behind the drums miked up in a studio...
@GHrockbandNL Don't metalheads go out of their way to appear freaky? I mean with all the necro makeup and stuff like that. It's not like they're trying to appear as an average joe or anything? Not dissing that, that's all cool. Just denying it seems rather.. peculiar. What I know for a fact, though, is that a lot of metal fans have little or no knowledge of music outside of the rather tiny metal bubble.
@ronnysoeberg You are just generalizing. If you going to speak to someone who only listens to thrash metal chances are he's going to tell you Lars Ulrich is the best drummer ever. Now if you speak to a Progressive Metal fan chances are his knowledge about music and musicians in general is quite vast. Proof of this it that I'm a huge Prog Metal fan and I'm watching this video.
I agree, why do so many musicians of any style look down at metal musicians in particular? Modern metal drumming is actually more technical and physically demanding than most style of music these days. Plus if you're a good drummer and like metal you'll spend alot more time learning other styles to shut the cynics up than say a jazz player learning anything prog metal-y. By the way have you ever heard a jazz drummer try and play proper metal/double bass beats? They tap the drums.
I love Thomas Lang, I'm a big fan of his but even watching him try and fob us off with double stroke rolls onthe bass drums in metal sounds terrible. Sounds like flappy arse-fart.
I've also found it's the musicians who aren't even that good that'll try and look down on metal players. Then when you show them what real technique is they'll say something like 'I play for the song'. So do I, but I still want to be able to rip when I want to. Hate snobby bloody musicians.
The kit is extremely quiet, you could play this set in your condo and not upset anyone around you. In my opinion it is easily one of the quietist E kits on the market.
@k3456789 As long as you go with Mesh Heads, this thing is going to be freakishly quiet. If you pick remo or evans heads or whatever, then no, not so quiet.
