Well i jave to say you have no shame to show to people how bad you are even for shuffle a simple deck of cards. The thing is their is too much people without any skill thinking they have right to show how trick is done without even mastering it. Your skill are craps and you need serious help. Knowing how it is done is not enought. Did you see how hesitating you was when you execute this very simple trick. This is mad, you crap and do not deserve yet to post magic.

if you give it a rifle shuffle as well, it bends the cards enough to really help distinguish when trying to seperate the face down cards from the face up ones

@jayjayspider its a thumb fan or some call it index fan aswell, depending of course what prefers their style, newer cards, air finished are best for fanning, but really it is your thumb on top on the corner of the card near enough if you have bike cards then its the angel pic. then your index and middle finger lie parralel to the cards so they allign together then a spread round with the other index finger and it will fan easy, hope this helps mate.
