  • I LOVE YOUR ACCENT. And, thanks for making this video. It helped a ton! <3

  • Thankyou so much for all your gimp tutorials, I have been trying to work it out for ages, only just thought to look on youtube for help and now I've made my first gif!!! so happy, these tutorials are fantastic!

  • guys stop at 6:48 and look between the house and the first tree. there is a girl. thumbs up if you find it

  • You are Dutch.

  • Excellent vid!!!

  • you can also play it in windows midea player

  • how to convert the gif file to a mp4 or AVI

  • @jukeboxpyscho Read the description below the video. There's a link there.

  • This is good but some versions of Gimp do not have the preview window; like mine.Version 2.6 for Linux Ubuntu.

  • @viking1au What preview? In G'MIC or with the animation? Haven't checked G'MIC on Ubuntu, but the animation preview works just fine.

  • i thought it would be easy, but i cant get the animation to go frame by frame, what happens is each frame stays up so by the end of the animation all the frames are in one frame and the image is a blur because they all overlapped. thank you so much, i tried everything .

  • @boxa888 6:07

Frame disposal where unspecified -> One frame per layer (replace)

  • @GIMPtricks awww thanks alot, i also exited the program and it reset everything to frame per layer too. thank you!! you just improved my project sooo much!! tha nk you!!!!

  • Pleas help me install gmic pluggin on mac

  • @NolaNiko I don't know how to on a mac. Go to the gimptalk forums (look at my channel for a link) for help.

  • hope you can also make a video

where in you will put a brush in the picture

and in the brush you will also put picture ^^

  • @reisuka888

That's the same principle as putting an image in text. Watch my hippie text tutorial to see how it's done. :)

  • i love you GIMPtricks

  • @cbgbomfugrip2006 Bet you say that to all the gimp tutorial makers. ;-)

  • do u think u could make a tutrial on like how to make candy text ur like my gimp teacher and i was wondering if u could do that for me

  • @wonderemma1

Probably not before your birthday Emma. sorry. :(

  • ok wat is it called

  • @wonderemma1 GIMP tutorial: Installing gimp themes on windows.

  • how did u get ur tool options that black colour can pretty plez do a tutrial like that plez

  • @wonderemma1 I already did. There's a link to it in my channel FAQ.

  • I really liked this one :-) I love watching your videos cause learning more about GIMP is sooooo fun :-)

  • Thank you, great introduction to G'MIC!

  • As always, great videos! AIso love the voice and the accent that goes with it.

  • @gennadiym55 I think you need to unzip it or whatever it's called in mac. You need to extract it. You'll end up with several files after extracting. Those need to go in there.

  • @GIMPtricks @gennadiym55 I would like to make a side note that in Linux its only one file and a "READ ME" file. I haven't seen the Mac version so I can't say anything about what is in that package. But make sure you don't put the "READ ME" file in the plug-in folder, I'm not sure if this will hurt anything but it could be what is causing your problem. and thank you soooo much for making this video. I loved following along and making the same that along with you :) very educational

  • @gennadiym55

Just a wild guess because I don't use a mac myself.

Search for a folder named | .gimp-2.6 | in there is a plug-in folder, try putting the files in there. Without these | | , I just wanted to make the folder name clear.

If you can't find that folder search for your plug-in folder in the folder where gimp is installed. Usually called | GIMP-2.0 |

  • are you dutch?

  • @MrDpsc Yes.

  • Thanks, cool trick.

  • are you left handed ?

  • You make really good tutorials. I wonder did you know that one can make this same animation in Kdenlive, in four steps and 20 seconds of render time.

  • @Elenkhos I've never heard of Kdenlive, what is it?

  • @GIMPtricks OMG ... seriously? Its a free movie maker that is on par with Windows movie maker... it's normally used for linux users but windows users can use it to.

  • @Elenkhos I googled it but I can't find a windows installer anywhere, just linux and mac.

But are you seriously telling me that they came up with the exact same thing as I did in my tutorial? Because that is freaky. (Or is it just something alike? Still a bit freaky. lol)

  • @GIMPtricks you make a live dvd, and then you can save whatever work you make down to your hard drive.... :D

  • @Elenkhos Not exactly the best work flow but worth trying it out one day. :)

  • @GIMPtricks You're so nice

  • that was a great tutorial matey girl......nuff said

  • Oh cheers! Awesome Effect xxx

  • Very nice.

Animation speeds are the opposite of what you say they are. Lower numbers mean faster speeds. 50ms is twice as fast as 100ms.

  • @tonz38

You're right. Not sure where my head was when I said that. I'll put an annotation on the video.

  • nice!

  • Excellent. :)

  • u should of used the blur tool and blured it just a bit to make it look a bit older

  • @XxmegadrummerxX

Old photos and movies usually aren't blurry. The people making them back then were pros, they didn't take a blurry picture. Movies do degrade with stripes and noise and black spots. I didn't have time to fit in black spots on every layer for the video though.

  • @GIMPtricks i know there not that blurry but u could of made on of the frames blurry and just slightly blurred it, cause that would of made it look old XD

well done though it looks really cool :)
