Actually kieron was suppose to have been killed off in April/May 2008 but the actór's contract was extended for a few more months as they want the actor who played Craig to come back and so James (JP) stayed longer as well as his contract was ending around April 2008. As far as I've been told there was never a plan for JP and kieron to end up together and leave HO together.

I know I'm so futile-y late to the party, but I've been catching up on this old storyline since the McDean coming out days for over a month now, and Craig was just about the most ashamed + angry bitch-baby I've ever seen when it came to realizing who he was, who he loved, and just couldn't find the strength to accept it. It would be hard for anyone, and I suppose the situation deserves compassion regardless, but Kieron has just been too amazing overall for JP (CONT)

I guess this is why this is a soap, because it'll always err towards the side of the unfair and overcomplicated for the sake of drama perpetuity. JP's heart happens to always want Craig, for better or worse, it can't be helped, which could be realistic, but the law of averages also sometimes makes it feel right to want the more righteous option. Not only does Kieron get his heart broken, but he also dies. I want HIM to be happy.

Myra was right. JP should have stayed with Kieron (married or not) and got a proper education instead of going to Dublin with Craig. And YES, JP also loved Kieron, he just got cold feet from pressure all around.

I LOVE MYRA!!! What she said was exactly what it is. Craig DID run off to Dublin. He had serious commitment issues to begin with. John Paul should STILL be furious with him after all the cheating, lying and deception that happened when he was with Sarah. Kieron, on the other hand, left the church for John Paul and faced the condemnation of everyone. But NOOOO, John Paul can't see that and he's going to throw all that away for Craig. I truly feel for Kieron. He's the victim in all of this.

No way. John Paul felt guilty all the time about Kieron giving up the church. about Hannah, Sarah. He was very confussed. And his first love Craig, how could he possibly get over that. The same for Craig, he couldn't forget JP. Craig did realize it when he came back, and was very calm and mature about it.

he was distraught at this but not once did he consider giving up JP. He choose him and he stood by him.

Sorry but for me that trumps Kieorn giving up a job which seemingly meant little to him anyway.

Not Craig's finest's hour by any stretch of the imagination but was makes John Paul a wonderful character and a person I would like to know in real life is his capacity to love a person despite any wrong doings that they may have done to him. A loving, forgiving, compassion guy who can empathise with Craig because he knows that he was no snow white himself in the situation they BOTH put themselves in. It takes a big person to forgive rather than hold on to the angry and the pain.

Kieron in his pants-Mmm, not sure about that look. I can't help feeling that,through all of the K and JP storyline, Kieron has been like a guardian angel to JP (who is a selfish and most spoiled brat)and that the story could not have ended any other way for these two; Kieron stays just long enough to send JP on his way to the next phase of his selfish young life.If you think about it, we all meet a Kieron on our journey of discovery

Kieron was anything but a guardian angel to JP. If he had been less selfish and instead of geting carried away at pushing forward with the wedding so fast in order to validate his decision to give up the preisthood, he may have noticed his teenage partner was nowhere ready for a quikie wedding.

I agree. Kieron was way too harsh with John Paul and I got annoyed that he kept trying to guilt him. John Paul knows all about what Kieron had given up for him. Also when Kieron gave John Paul the ultimatium of marrying him the next week he was just setting himself up for rejection as he knew John Paul didnt want to rush things between them and was having doubts on the marriage front.

It pisses me off people are giving JP such a hard time about Craig when Craig since he has come back has been so bloody selfless. It must be kiling him thinking that JP is happy with some else but he is willing to put his feelings away for JP sake. That Kieron, is what true love is all about. Craig has learnt from all the mistakes he made last year and grown in to a better man. Myra is judging him on the past which isnt fair, in the long run she is just making things harder for JP.

I think that the question Tina asks is very telling - Craig is going through his head. It doesn't mean he doesn't love Kieron or even that he does want to be with Craig; but seeing him reminded him of lots of old feelings and of an intensity that he doesn't have with Kieron.
