Do you think red lipstick is for everyone?

I have yet to find the right red for my complexion? I have very pale skin, hazel eyes and brown hair, with a cool palatte. I'm wondering if you have any red shades to recommend for someone with my complexion?

I'd suggest a red slightly warmer in color, more towards orange or brown. A warm fall red.

The lip stain I like and showed in the video is from MAC.

It is very opaque and matte and then if you choose there is a gloss on the other end of the product to apply over the stain.

A more sheer stain is Benetint from Benefit and you can use it on the cheeks as well.....

Again, not everyone will be able to handle the intensity of this make up lesson. So why not apply the same technique with a softer or more suitable colour. The technique is unfaltable but you need to make the right colour choice depending on skin tone, and whether you want a day or evening look.

Lipstick isn't sexy. Stylish maybe. but not sexy. You want a guy to kiss you? Wear Lip Gloss or nothing. Ask a bunch of guys, whats better, big tomato lips - , lip gloss - or nothing. Probably most will say wear nothing, then lip gloss, with very few saying big red tomato.

This application is not difficult to take off. I usually remove most of it with a tissue, then use eye makeup remover on a cotton ball to remove the rest.

I would never wear red lipstick. I feel it draws to much attention to your lips, which is probably what you want when you wear red lipstick..hehe. Fatima Olive is an amazing name..I <3 her shirt!

I heard you can put a dab of vaseline on your teeth and it will keep the lisptick from getting on them, is that true or is it bogus?

uh...i know that if you put vaseline on your teeth, it will keep you smiling the whole time! :D People like my cousin would do that for pageants.

It's true, and bonus, it prevents your lips from sticking to your teeth (so you smile smoothly and can close your mouth again without your lips getting hung up on your teeth). However, I only did this for shows; I would never do this for going out! Do the finger thing she shows, plus I put a layer of chapstick or clear, non-sticky gloss on top of my lipstick (which also helps it stay on longer).

Classic tips - I'm a red lip expert and use all of these! Sometimes the lip liner alone is very dry on the lips, so adding lipstick on top lubes it up well :-)

If you are 14 I would say this application is to heavy for you. I would recommend a sheer red gloss like Lorac's Lip Polish in Sizzle. You get a similar effect but not as intense.

Yeah, it all depends on your skin tone...an orangey-red on a pinky skin tone would be awful!Go to a cosmetics counter and ask them - you don't have to buy their product, just ask their advice!

The trick to finding the perfect red is first and foremost what you are comfortable with....intensity wise.

Then skin tone, and believe it or not your tooth color. The whiter your teeth the more of a blue-red lipstick I would recommend - if you have more of a yellow cast then orange-red.
