malnourished is the word you were trina say, malnutritioned is is when malbourisment is aflicted on something. but the REAL thing you meant is under weight. a animal can be malnourished and still the right weight or over weight. you ment to say "he is obv under weight and unhealthy , most likely MALNOURISHED!"
I disagree. My 5 foot male loves attention(he even tries to sleep in bed next to me), he knows his name, he takes himself to the bathroom when he has to go and climbs the toilet and uses it. In the summer when we're out in the yard and he wants in but can't get in the back door he walks around to the front door to try to get in there. The catch is, we never use the front door. So how does he know wht it's for?
i keep an iguana (a red iguana) and they bellys are plain green i help out at the reptile shop and the green iguanas bellys are plain green too. i showd this video to every one in my family and thay all said thay are clearly ribs. you can even see the sternum. thay are ribs now stfu
all of them are a bit different buddy do all people look exactly alike??? no, so why would a huge genre of popular lizards all look exactly the same??? they dont
not completely.. if u studied any biology and knew anything about effective, a-effective, and false chromosomes you would know that it effects all living things other than hermaphrodite species.... trust me bud i study a lot about this shit..... almost all reptiles have had selective breeding installed at some point in times and often altered recessive genetic compounds so it occurs frequently especially with an animal as common as an iguana
they are ribs, you can even see the sternam. i keep iguanas, thier bellys are blank, even with red iguanas, i have seen hundreds of different iguanas at the reptile shop they are ribs, look you can even see them shadowning
they might be i never said they weren't.... personally im not even sure if thats a real iguana. haha, but im just saying that some iguanas do have belly stripes
My iguana would never sit like that... Healthy domesticated iguanas are not able to pose like that in this video. They would wiggle around and would not be so cooperative. I guess you only know something like that after raising an iguana by hand for 5 years such as I have. However, my iguana never minds to be petted!!
I believe you can domesticate them to a degree... It takes a whole lot of time and energy though... They are never completely domesticated like a dog or cat. They will always have that point where they just start to freak out. However, if you learn the ig's triggers then you can have it live an open cage life like an indoor dog or cat. It takes a lot of patience and the iguana can't be blamed for bad behavior like a dog or cat. The best way I can compare it to is like domesticating a chicken.
Yeah... I think socializing is a better way to put it as well. Domesticating any reptile is asking a bit much due to the primitive psyche development. Iguanas will always have a wild side and they will let you know it if you push the right buttons with the ig. However, they can be very social if they are correctly socialized with friendly humans during their early life in captivity. Hopefully, I can make a video of my iguana in the future to try to show everone what I am talking about...
I agree... I bet sitting the iguana like the one on this video is also hard on the spikes. However, I would never have my iguana pose in such a ridiculous position for the camera. I only snap pictures of my iguana while he is doing his natural thing. This makes the pictures turn out so they reflect my iguana's daily life. Not sitting in chairs and posing in group pictures. If your iguana is going to SUFFER for these lousy few photo shots, then I RECOMMEND YOU NEVER WORK WITH IGUANAS ANYMORE!!!
that iguana as so malnutrtitoned its not even funny getting your iguana to stay like tha can take alot of time and effort into getting your iguana real tame and feeling comfortable in akward positions

If you talk about the lines on his chest it gives him the appearance of a skinny creature. But this reptile is not skinny at all.
AsuraDyaus 2 years ago
those are ribs not stripes and that iggy is obviously malnutritioned

DayLight95 2 years ago
Green iguanas don't all have plain bellies, a lot of them have stripes like that.
PKBitchGirl 2 years ago
no. they have stripes down the side of there bellys. they are clearly ribs. you should have gone to specs savers
DayLight95 2 years ago
I don't need to go to specspavers, but you CLEARLY need to learn more about iguanas.

I heard that you shouldn't sit them like that because it places stress on their spine that iguana's cannot tollerate.
