hard to really say what all this means in practice, i doubt that it will affect the corporate colonialism, for example the private contractors which still have troops in the hundreds of thousands in there and which are intertwined with the US government, and im sure monsanto has its deals already made..
also how is this deal supposed to be enforcable for the iraqis? they dont have the means of intelligence to supervise the american forces
actually it's the turks who need protecting from the kurds , the kurds are trying to create a country where there has never been a country, they are trying to divide turkey in two , since the pkk terror campaign began in 1984 , the pkk has killed 30,000 turks , mostly civilians !
oliversinhell....ROFL "the kurds are trying to create a country where there has never been a country"...
ROFL do you mean Mustafa Kemal Atatürk went to war with "No Country" a place that Syria, Iraq and Iran split up after the conquest of Diyarbakır.
A "No Country" that defended itself from the Ottoman Empire, Arabs, Persians and Great Britain. The third millennium BCE year old "No Country" that was never defeated by even the Mongolians.
What we really need is money. Let's seriously raise wages to $25 for the minimum wage. Take the stimulus money and give it to the employers to cover the difference between current wages and this new realistic minimum for three months. By then the new system will sort itself out.
The only other thing to do to reduce this 1928 style income disparity between common man and top brass is reduce CEO earnings. Yeah right. That'll be easy - not.
instead of answering Iraqi politician Ahmed Chalabi's question of where The Iraqi National Intelligence Service get their funding from they threaten to sue him for not being able to prove that Iraq is a sovereign nation.
i was in iraq not too long ago. the fighting is over with. The US won almost a year ago. The only ones still fighting are a handful of desperate criminals payed by extremists to fight and those people are being dealt with by iraqi security forces.
ive been their numbnuts so i already know. The last yr has had more US military construction workers like myself then actually soldiers on the ground this year.
The only reason our troops continue to stay is cause of the bush admin trying to talk the iraqi leadership into setting up us bases on their soil. Obama doesn't want that and knows the american people don't want it either. It has nothing to do with an american defeat though if you actually went to iraq.
US troops will simply be moved to Afghanistan, causing more killings. Obama is simply a continuation of Bush, with different tactics.

America is finished in Iraq - all they will be doing in the next few years is attempting to deny the inevitability of their defeat.
