Leider den Text nicht verstanden! Das zeigt schon Willy Brandt als "Diktator" auf Knien. Einen der GRÖSSTEN deutschen Politikern! Viel Mühe, mit diversen Bildern ein Lied zu beschreiben, dessen Text man nicht verstanden hat. Prinzipiell gehört dieses Video gesperrt.

@gisi1969 danke für deinen offenen Kommi- ich habe den Text vom Song verstanden- nur leider wußte ich zu dem Zeikpunkt nicht wer der Mann auf dem Bild war - sonst hätte ich dieses Foto mit Gewissheit nicht benutzt - das habe ich auch zuvor schon einige Male geschrieben ...wie du sagst es ist nicht leicht bildlich was gesungenes wieder zu geben ... nur deswegen sehe ich trozdem keinen Grund das Video zu sperren ... da gehören ganz andere dinge gesperrt ,dieses ist dagegen harmlos...

This song is great, no question about that. But the uploader has no intellect. By the words "bringing that dictator to his knees", shown Willy Brandt, one of the greatest german politicians. That makes no sense. Willy Brandt was one of the greates politicians in Germany. Nothing to do with an dictator. This is very wrong.

@gisi1969 ty again,for your open words- I do have understood the Lyrics of the song - only I didn`t know who the man on the picture was themtimes. Otherwise I wouldn`t have choosen that pic at all ( I was searching for a male person on his knees) but I didn`t know how Willy Brand was looking(and the pic was without any description !!!!) Yes therefore the pic is very wrong in there- but I can`t change the pic in the clip anymore

I really have to agree with @neoclassicism. I know you have responded to a comment but I don't speak German and therefore don't know what you said.

Willy Brandt was a committed antiNazi and to make things worse, I think the photo is of him kneeling in front of the execution wall at Auschwitz, an act of deep penitence as the Chancellor of his country .

@TheLEJT1 mainly I have written in reply there - that at that time I haven´t known who that person on the picture was. Otherwise I wouldn`t have chosen that picture - and for the other one( as he/she was mention then , that we have had a truly dictator ) I wouldn`t have taken him for sure for my video. - sorry again, I didn`t wanted to annoy anybody ( I only try to give back the story of the song in pictures ( where I often search for in the net )

Allerdings finde ich auch, das Willy Brandt als Diktator sehr unpassend ist.

No. Christ died for my sins. I accept Christ as my saviour & am covered by His shed blood. The word 'fear' is a bad use of the word in present parlance. Great video to a great song!

One little thing (and I know this is trivial) but at 3:05, "Bringing that dictator to his knees", you show Willy Brandt as he kneels before the memorial to the victims of the Warsaw Ghetto. It just struck me as odd to see that particular picture with that text, especially since he was in the (socialist) underground during WW2 and his kneefall is considered one of the major turning points for the normalisation of east-west relationships during the cold war.

of course that is just my personal view on the man simply by listening to his music, I really have no idea if its true or not. Its simply what I hear.

Actually I think he has more of a slight distaste for the church. I believe he has strong moral belief in a higher power, but less Catholic then you may think by just skiming his music. Songs like Spanish Train and Crusader Point to a loss of faith in belief I think. Also the Song A Space Man Came Traveling really points Farce at the Birth of Christ. I think overall Chris Has a belief in the common good that is the back bone of most religion, but dosent hold much stock in the literal meaningofit

His faith is definitely Christian, but he shows a deep respect for other religions. He also criticises the Churches, for example in the song "The Mirror Of The Soul" or the celibacy in "Brother John".

he has done plenty of albums,but a lot of his musik is not known in the public. I have seen him 2 times in Concert and can only say he`s a great man and singer

Oh yes, he is. And you are right, many, many of his great songs are completely unknown. The concert in Schwetzingen this year will be my 11th. :-) The best concert was the concert in Dortmund 2006, the concert this version of St. Peter's Gate was recorded at. :-)
