from a music business/industry perspective, but for those of us like myself who absolutely adore the clark sisters, we know that they are blessed because they live for God and compromise or no compromise, cross over or no cross over, all the sisters live rich successful lives, lovely homes, cars, clothes, jewelry etc; but most of all they have laid a foundation for the chrystal rucker, nikki ross, sher jones moffett and so on.....just my thoughts......how do you guys feel

A lot of people say, well how can The Clark Sisters be unsung, in their instance, they have gone over 30 years in the business with over 16 albums and various solo projects and they just won Grammys for the first time in 2008, they have no gold, platinum albums AT ALL, they have major influence in the music industry overall, but compared to other artists like the winans, kirk, yolanda, donnie, and cece, they would be considered Unsung because they havent quite attained that success

Okay so I am one of the folks round the world who discovered the Clark Sisters through the Unsung series. I have now downloaded a heap of their music from iTunes, but really they only were at the very back of my mind as I had heard of them but not heard their music at all... This series I suppose for folks like me who are on the other side of the world to hear of great artists we wouldn't otherwise hear. i think its funny hardly any of the clark sisters look alike. i know jacky has a different father. but between dorinda, twinkie, denise, and karen i only see two who look somewhat close which is karen and twinkie (denise a little)m but even so twinkie and karen dont really look alike. Dorinda stands out like a black sheep, its like where did she come from?!! lol

@amberbug90 That's funny because I made the same observation! I would say Jackie is the one who sticks out like a black sheep, but she isn't in the limelight like the others. I always thought she looked so different from them, but I didn't know why until I saw this documentary. Kierra looks like Twinkie's child. They are all mixed up. LOL. But I know how those genes can be. ...Denise looks like one of my aunts.

Growing up in Louisiana back in the day. Being white we were told we couldn't have "Black" friends. Well to me a friend doesn't have a color. They are Friends. drove my Family nuts, I didn't care:) On day Randy Johnson invited me to Church to see a group call The Clark Sisters. I was the only white person in the church. And YES I stood out. Not in a bad way I was WELCOMED:) Once The Sisters started, I don't think I sat down the whole time! I knew why God wanted me there. To see REAL CHURCH.

They are seriously amazing. I grew up in church, but didn't really know that much about them like my other friend who went to conventions and spent like everyday at the church house. One thing is for sure, I knew about "sunshine" because it was all over the radio in the 80's when I was a little girl. That is just amazing to me, the cross over and the influence they had even if you weren't in church and a part of church everyday.

Wow. I never knew Mattie had children from two separate marriages. And I never knew of the son. I am not saying that anything is wrong with tat. I was just surprised to hear that. They are recognized, but not house hold names in Gospel like Yolanda Adams, or Shirley Caesar. Al Green, is suposed to be coming up on unsung, he is recognized, yet tragedy derailed his career. Because of the number of artists out there, to be chosen for unsung, is an honor

I don't get why they were even featured on this show. The Clark Sisters always get the recognition every time and Mattie Moss Clark certainly gets praise. This episode shouldn't have been.

The church did Dr. Clark wrong and its amazing how God will elevate you after man puts you down. 3 GRAMMYS in one year. the most ever won by a Gospel artist so that why they did this episode.
