  • This was on BF3 wiki "Note that new panels do not provide protection. Replacing them is merely cosmetic."

    Is that true?

  • Oh yeah, one more thing. Do this test because it will be interesting ;) get a friend of yours to drive a tank at full speed (with turbo) in a straight line at you. Then shoot him with another tank. It should disable the tank straight away (not sure if it does it to reactive armour). I don't know if it's a glitch or the tank shell just ignores the tank armour because of the speed.

  • @fozzarooo Yeah I heard about that. Not sure if it was meant to be like that or a glitch.

  • It can't just be me who thinks this (I'm a tank whore) but I think the Russian tank Is better then the Abrahams because it feels slightly easier to control and less bulky compared to the American tank. I know both tanks take the same amount of damage but the width and length of the RU tank, gives It that advantage.

  • @fozzarooo I don't really have a preference they both feel similar to me. But the Russian T90 looks smaller so it probably has an advantage there.

  • I don't get it, why does the tank explode when you get far away?

  • @kaczan3 It's to prevent people from taking the vehicles from the spawn and ditching them somewhere on the map. Leaving the next people to start at the spawn left with no vehicles to get to the battle with.

  • @ModernEditors Thank you.

  • @ModernEditors i have reative armor on my tank and the emeny has some nasty a** RPG's because my reative armor sucks =(

  • Nowadays you can just get off the tank and jump in again and the reactive armor will be back again. So no need for repair the side that get hit by an RPG whit reactive armor. Pretty OP but nice to us how loves tanks. :P

  • @thejurassicpark I haven't noticed that but I'll test it again.

  • Question: the tank exploding once you're outside the 20m radius - if you exit an undamaged tank, will it still blow up after any distance? Or does it have to be disabled?

  • @WesternHaikus1 It doesn't matter if its damaged or full health it will blow up either way. Once you hit the 20m it blows up DICE made it that way so that the vehicle wouldn't just be left in the middle of nowhere. Which would prevent you or your team mates from having the vehicle spawn back in your base.

  • Great info. I'll second the request for a top attack test. Also, I know for a fact that tanks in BF2 took more damage from tread shots; is this true for BF3 too? How about C4 and mine damage?

  • @danielgoertzen Ya will probably do a video with all the different types of damage from other vehicles/javalin against the tank. We have a mine video in the process of being made right now.

  • Thank you, wondering if you could make a follow up showing how antiair missles, rocket pods and other explosives affect the tank

  • I really want to be the first disliker, but I guess it's not gonna be today. Nice video....

  • with the angle they tried to simulated tha slope armor so it woul be deflected

  • did not know you could repair reactive armor. thanks a bunch.

  • Wow awesome vid. Dice put a lot of detail in this game. Didn't know angle affects damage.

  • btw, can we expect a similar video on how to kill choppers?

  • @jackstaak Ya probably, I'm going to do another tank video first probably though.

  • Thank you sir. Now I'm off to kill me some tank bitches.

  • Thanks, great info. Didn't know angled mattered. How about from direct top? Like the Javelin+Soflam gave me instant kills but wasn't there to watch the tank.

  • @BlackDiamondVBA For the Javelin it does I think 32 damage anywhere it hits, if you have a Javelin + Soflam targeting stuff for you it'll do 50 damage anywhere on the tank.

  • Why did the tank blow up at all? Wtf?

  • @serveTHEservants Once you get out of range from them by 20meters they start to blow up because they get sent back to their spawn points. So if you ever get out of a tank but want to hop back in stay within the 20m radius same goes for jeeps, or pretty much any vehicle for that matter.

  • Definite like. Thank you for this info. Did not know the angles affect damage.

  • Great tips. Thanks.

  • That's some good info. Thanks!

  • Cool :D great tips

  • Merry Christmas Eve :D

  • Nice one guys, good info

  • Thanks for the tips.
