I'm an eighteen year old girl with a profound hatred for food. I watched this movie without knowing ANYTHING about it and even though the sight of the food made me feel uncomfortable, I enjoyed it. Meryl Streep was kind of annoying at times, but she was loveable as always. And Amy Adams was good too (big Enchanted fan! :P) but I couldn't stand her hair. Her hair was so ugly XD

I bought the DVD as soon as it came out and I have watched it time and time again. Meryl Streep never ceases to amaze me. She didnt just play Julia Child, she was Julia Child. Simply amazing. The only good part of the movie is when the film focuses on Julia Child. Modern Julia is very boring and tries very hard to be funny and witty. The whole movie should have just been about Julia Child.

Although one thing that irritated me during the movie was when Julia Child's boyfriend would eat the food like a pig, and you can hear every bite he makes...it just annoyed me a little. =P
