@CommonSenseBlokeiam The effect you're describing is called ASMR. A lot of people (myself included) get it. I'm no neuroscientist, but there are articles you can google about it. No, you're not a crank, a freak, a weirdo, or anything like that. That's why we all watch these videos. Actually we're very lucky, it's an all natural, intensely pleasurable high with only positive side effects! Hope that helped! :)
I have anxiety and depression as well as bipolar disorder i have a strong panic attack at the moment your voice helps me to calm down thank you so much
I have anxiety and depression as well as bipolar disorder and high-functioning autism, and I had a very massive panic attack this evening. Your voice calmed me down so much that I fell asleep before the end of the video. Thank you for these videos, Crystal! They help so much. :)
I got free from daily panic attacks, where I would have to do and avoid all sorts of mad things. Whilst you're calm, make a conscious decision:- that your usual trigger is acceptable. If it's death, for instance, just "accept" that you are going to die. Will it to happen and don't fear it. Acceptance is key. The moment you realize that the fighting (nothing) in your mind is the only reason it feels that way, it will leave you. Only returns for me now when I'm a bit paranoid :D
Aww Crystal Thank you for this, I suffer from panic and anxiety attacks and this will absolutely help me in the future. In fact I'm going to download this video, convert it to an audio file and put it on my mp3 player so I can always have it with me. Best wishes <3
@WhisperCrystal my dad just had a panic attack a few minutes ago......that was so frightening... This was the first video that came to my mind...I had him do some of that breathing exercise and he seems a little better. I'm definitely going to listen to this a few times to calm myself down!
Hey Whisper crystal :), I love all your videoes and have downloaded them to my MP3 player to help me sleep. I was actually thinking of trying it out. I was wondering how you make your videoes so long? I thought the maximum time a youtube video could be was 15 minutes, or am I just being stupid?? :) Thanksyou x
@sethman0 When you drink, your brain cannot enter REM sleep, prohibiting you from entering a deep, relaxing sleep. You can be woken up easier as well.
I have no idea HOW you did this but this video gives me the most relaxing feeling i have ever had in my life. This is AMAZING seriously! and it gives my brain this buzzing feeling ..i cant explain it but it feels good
Thank god you posted this. I was having a panic attack because I haven't heard a relaxing video in a few days, and lone behold, you upload the perfect one! xD
You made this video just in the nick of time. It's been a rough week for me, and listening to your stress- relieving videos is always divine. Thank you so much, as always.
Another work of art from you, Crystal. I love it. Can you make something pan left to right and right to left at the same time-like with 2 tracks or something. I think that would sound so cool! you never fail us! Take care---nezzy
I have panic attaks once in a while, and they're very very strong. This sort of video would not help me in the middle of the attack, however, I think it would help me to chill out and fall asleep after it all passes. Thank you for your tremendous effort Crystal, I do love your videos more than anything here in youtube :)
@nanushka I think this is designed to deal with the fear of panick attack, and try to stop it before it actually happens. Remembering some of the key things, and finding that comfortable, safe place, and reminding ourselves that this feeling will pass, we can control it and it cannot hurt us will help to avoid it. Hopefully that way, in time we will manage to beat it altogether. Listening to it after it happens is also a good idea. Need to give your body a good rest after such an ordeal. x
Terrific video, as always! Extremely relaxing for me, especially since I am nervous and uptight. It is so hard for me to shut my mind down at night...at least it WAS until I found your videos! :)
As someone who's suffered from panic attacks and anxiety disorder in the past, my opinion is the panning effect is a mistake. Persons having a panic attack, or even laboring under general anxiety, tend to avoid uncertainty at any cost. The panning effect is somewhat unsettling since you never know when your voice is going to shift from one side to another. It's almost like someone's behind you, trying to spook you. Love your videos WhisperCrystal, but the panning's not right in this context.
@mwoelfle yes I agree - I've had plenty of panic attacks, this is where I think the panning would be ineffective, maybe better when I just plan on sitting back and chillin out, but something I don't want to listen to during one - I'd just get too impatient with the panning. Other than that, the message is great, I love this video and appreciate you putting time into it =) thank you so much!
@mwoelfle I'm sorry to hear this video was unsettling. I was hoping that panning would offer a more intimate/personal experience and therefore be more comforting. But I can see how my thinking was wrong. Thank you for pointing this out. I have uploaded the normal version without any panning. I will stay away from this in my future videos that are related to similar subjects. Thank you for taking the time to give me some constructive feedback. I really appreciate it. x
@WhisperCrystal Actually, the video wasn't unsettling to me at this time, but I have a history of anxiety issues and when they have a grip on me, the randomness of the panning effect is something I think I would find stressful. But that's just me, Whispercrystal. I'm certainly not criticizing you or the great work you do. I love your videos and am almost embarrassed that you have affected a change to one of them based on my comment.
@mwoelfle Aww, don't feel bad! It's totally fine, I am happy that you actually said something. I thought about what you said, and it made sense, which is why I will be keeping it in mind for my future videos. I like to hear what my listeners have to say. Your comments, feedback and requests always have a big impact on what I post. This channel is for you all, so I am always looking to learn and improve, and try to be as relaxing and helpful as possible. Thank you again for your time and help :)
i can honestly say i truly love you. can't thank you enough for all that you do. You have become a part of my almost every day. Always looking forward to your next video.
This has to be one of the best clear wonderfully relaxing videos, and the panning amazes me how its done. It is like your right there. Excellent. Thank you :-)
Ahh I was hoping you were gonna do one of these! I seriously love the "Shhh" parts. And panning videos are my favorite. :D It gives me chills. Thanks so much for uploading this!
Have you ever had your partner run her fingers through your hair and got goose bumps, or tickle your back with the same effect?
Your voice has the same effect on me. Very relaxing. Am i some sort of crank for saying this?

@meadowbright Hi thank's. How come men whisperer vids don't do it for me?
Only female whispering vids give the effect you describe.
