  • cont. the video is showing me running in the cam , held it at 2500-3000 rpm and got the cam run in . dumped the oil and am ready to do my first 500 miles with millers running in oil at 3500 rpm, have now cleaned up the enigne bay of wiring etc and have fitted the billet grills . will post another video when its finished , thanks for the comments

  • cont - have been working on the car restoring it for nearly 10 yrs now. bought it when the film gone in 60 secs came out . new silver and blacker leather interior . jbl ice . 18"rims 8j at the front and 10j at the rear . looking at around 600bhp to finish with once run in and 10 psi of boost, may add nos just for coolant to push up to 650bhp but want it as a reliable weekend driver so wont go too mad , these can go uo to 700+ bhp odd all blots are arp studs , has a high rev hitachi starter

  • cont , have a balanced and lightend prop , twin electric fans at the front , fitted 2 x race coil packs to produce clean thick spark to plugs , exhaust manifolds are wrapped , the blower isnt normally used for a ford application as chevy dizzys are to the rear. so did away with the top of the dizzy and lowered the blower as much as possible. have electric water pump , electric power steering , hevy duty truck lockheed mastercylinder for the brakes .rear discs are vented through lower scoops

  • cont- water / meth injection system activated by boost to cool the intake charge and allow high rpms and minimise detonation , also have a preload switch to allow me to pump it at the lights when the teeny bopers want a race in their hairdriers . fitted 2x knock sensors which signal the ecu to retard the ign curve. have front and rear engine temp sensors for oil and water , boost gauges for the blower and water meth inj system . car has discs all round with rear 3-71 9" 32 spline axle by hauser

  • cont - i have a b+m shifter . gearbox was a real issue of mine. didnt like the idea of going through expensive clutches . so got the next best thing . a highly uprated truck auto c6 box that can take the torque . has a high stall specific "supercharged type " torque converter by b+m at 2800 rpm. has 3 long gears with a manual shift pattern body , so it will not auto shift . so i feel i have the best of both worlds . no clutch and still have gears, i have installed a water/meth injection system

  • cont - i have a omex ece me 6u running from a throttle positions sensor from the 2 x 600 vac sec carbs . been set up for a blower . has a 360equaflow intake manifold with a cnc 1" alu plate welded top the top to house the 6/71 weiand nosed blower , running pulleys to give me 6 to 8psi until engine is run in . bottom pulley was made larger to fit over the harmonic balancer so thats why the top pulley seems large than normal . have 3" headers, c6 uprated auto box with rev shift pattern

  • hi all . i have been trying to access my account but cannot so have had to create a new name.

the car is a 67 ford mustang fastback eleanor . engine is a 351w overbored , spec is, balanced and lightened crank , forged i beam rods. keith black hyperutectic pistons. stainless roller rockers. hardened push rods , crane supercharged cam , rattler balancer , racing canton oil sump with windage tray and high vol oil pump , eldebrock performer heads , have used the dizzy only to run the oil pump .

  • How did you get that? I looked on the Weiand website and it looks like they only do the 671 supercharger for Chevrolet engines

  • That upper pulley is huge you must only be running about 5 pounds of boost if that. Did you set up your lower end right? Forged stuff? well looks good anyway. Have fun!!!!!!!!

  • You need to clean up that engine bay!

  • Would love to see it in action. Flyby or burnout??

  • how many pounds of boost?

  • lol sound like an rc car in the video

  • So I'm right...thats all you needed to say.....now DONT LOOK AT ME........

  • Why such a big pulley on the front of the blower? The smaller the pulley the more boost right?

  • A 6-71 blower was designed to feed a 2 stroke 6-71 detroit diesel. That's 6 cylinders x 71 cubic inches per cylinder =426 cubic inches. You can't really tell what the ratio is by looking at one pulley. You really need to see both. I agree that it appears to be under driven knowing most likely that the bottom pulley is probably smaller in diameter.
