It was easier to control classroom discipline when a few years ago because teachers were allowed to call the security officers to remove disruptive students from the classrooms. Some small schools do not even have deans who can come to the classrooms and remove the disruptive children when teachers deem it necessary. Even worst, some schools do not have space to place the disruptive kids when they are removed from the class.
44 kids in a class in the south BX. My class in southside LA had 36. No wonder these kids can;t learn. The discipline tactics we learn in college may work with suburban kids, they don't work in the ghetto. I'm from the ghetto

city kids learn differently, more hands on. if teachers don't realize this, they fail. good luck to the teachers in the city right now.
