Nice capture of a carpenter bee preparing her small nest of eggs. She will later seal it off and leave the brood to fend for themselves. Before she does so, she will have left them with just enough food for them to survive. They are quite different than bumblebees.
The house I live in is about 50 years old, and there are alot of holes in the wall. I guess there have been different individuals over the years that have disassembled my wall a little by little. Yesterday I was out on the balcony to water my flowers and heard something from inside the wall. I'm looking forward to see what will come out from there, this year.
Love those bumble bees!

That actually may be a carpenter bee, not a bumble bee. No yellow stripe. Bumblebees prefer nesting in the ground.

That is probably true. Someone told me that before. But carpenter bee just wouldn't work with the music ;)

Indeed it was! It didn't chase or attack me at all. It even waited for me to get out of its way before flying to the hole.

Amazing how calm they can bee. Hahahaha...

Thank you! I like it too. Sadly it is like the only thing I've done since I bought my camera, but hopefully there will be more coming soon!
