Haha completely agree with you! I miss them too... sooo much! especially since gen 3 sucks... series 5 is a downer! Because of them skins ratings went downhill along with its name. Plus since s5 and skins US are failures, the movie's future might be at risk! I miss gen 2 bring them back!!! P.S. Ollie is sooo cute and so much more goodlooking now! I so have a crush on him now... so different form JJ!... but he's still adorkable..like it! And Kat's gotten pretties too!...

It would be cool to see the 2nd gen back again but there all 20, 21 now and it wont be right for adults to play teenagers, considering it was about there collage life. And yeah they've both changed a lot, Hope that they get a lot more acting jobs because the are great at what they do :D!

I think the whole purpose of the really cliffhangery ending was for it to give story for the movie. the creators really planned on finishing gen 2 with the movie. But becoz its taking too long to happen, people are starting to think gen 2's ending is the s4 finale... which was kind of disappointing besides the naomily bits. hehe . the real finale was supposed to be in the movie. hope it happens as soon as possible!
@tapat88 i wouldnt say the skins ratings have gone downhill, sure they added another generation but they have to do that bcos the 2nd gen are alot older than teenagers now like bones said. maybe in the 6th series it will be a bit better, i prefer the 2nd & 1st generation but the new gen arnt that bad, just new teenagers. Skins creaters will carry that on, but i doubt it will fail like the US series did bcos it would of been canceld by now lol :)
It's failing actually atm. Um based on the ratings and other external stuff... gen 3 is the highest and most unpopular gen. Its ratings have gone down... you can check wiki and other sites if you want... it doesnt trend on twitter after its pilot episode, there is no couple or pairing that is popular ( no shippers that much), people dont like the triangles or the characters that much. the guardian even said that skins has past its prime and its in their wall of shame already.
about the cancellation bit, it can't get cancelled coz series 6 was commissioned the same time as s5... so if they knew the ratings were to get bad, they wouldnt had to order a s6 the same time as s5. its just a fact really. I don't hate this gen that much. I liked some episodes. no offense i'm just stating the facts that i know. Its just that this gen hasnt really clicked to most or majority of the fans unlike the previous gens did.

Hmmm im not entirely sure if minky was planned from the beginning or is it just the 2 actors that had that sudden chemistry...even more than matty/franky. But based on the popularity of minky, it being gen 3's most popular, maybe they'll go with a minky romantic plotline in s6...coz they need some ratings right? I would be okay with that. But nothing's gonna top naomily coz its the greatest storyline that came out of skins...
about the movie, i think its going in preproduction stage... but its still going through most prob. its based on gen 2 so hopefully it gets done coz gen 2 needs and DESERVES a great finale and ending to its epic run! But then i dont think theyll gonna do that. Naomily already had their storyline and a happy ending so i guess theyre just gonna be in the movie for support and screen time. Plus they have lots of supporters so...that could add up to the people whose gonna watch the movie. hehe marketing strategy! still naomily in the movie!

Its gonna be like the ultimate skins experience! Gen 2 deserves a great ending to a great generation. Although i liked Naomily's ending, but the others ddidn't have a good one. Well obviously Freddie and Cook and lets not forget Effy and katie.
sorry i meant to say gen 3 had the LOWEST ever ratings for skins. its average for s5 was about 600,00. its lowest epsidoe got 300k something in e4...so about 400k something if we add e4+1. gen 2 had the highest ratings of all gens. their average for s4 was 1.1 million.
