In Flames with Mikael Stanne, where shit, thanks god he went to DT, and Anders Friden has joined them, and because of that, the band "In Flames" became so awesome.
why would this have a dislike??..i mean obviously someone had to go out of their way in order to stumble across this video and take the time to vote it down
yea dude, i hear all these youngins talkin about how "Exit to exist" like omg dude best album, dude, listen to whoracle, lunar strain, clayman , subteranean, all them, man this band was my fav when i was younger, tho i still like their new shit, just aint like it was back in the day, thats ok tho, every band has their own way of moving forward into time
@FudgePasta wow this song sucks so much cock i mean holy shit the intro is so generic and the entire band is almost as shitty as the people that listen to it to be honest and if you try to defend it your validating my point so go on ahead and try to pussies
@StengerProductions May I ask why you were trying to piss him off? He just said the album is amazing and it's a shame they went to shit shortly after this.
@PSNBloodraid because hes an ignarant hypocrite thats why, the only thing on his profile is videos of him bashing other music which makes no sense to me. so i just decided im gunna troll this dude
I think this album sounds a little bit like Black Metal , not rly black metal but something in this way , hard to describe ^^ but it differs from the others ... but anyway , very great album and song :DDD
@XV100 Early melodic death metal had a traditional heavy metal influence like maiden but not BM. I remember listening to At The Gates and Eucharist before all the shitty norwegian crap flooded the scene.
I always thought that early melodeath had more of BM influence. Bands like Arch Enemy were one of the first to use the NWOBHM influence, in my opinion.
@XV100 the definition of melodic death includes the NWBHM influence I think, so its not really an opinion. Arch Enemy was pretty late, In Flame and DT were close to the first with older death metal bands like carcass and death evolving into melodeath
It's not ironic, it's sad that In Flames started declining after they switched, but all the interesting stuff was made by Dark Tranquillity up to The Gallery. I was very disappointed by their 1996 offerings, lost the energy both of them, though Stanne didn't lose his energy on vocals. But it's quite different from 1996 onwards, no more interesting song structures like on early Judas Priest, just too much riffs.
It's rather ironic that Stanne known for DT made his best performance for IF (Lunar Strain) and Anders known for IF made his best performance for DT (Skydancer) :D
I have to say Anders vocals are much better, or maybe the quality just makes it his seem better? Oh well, my opinion is Behind Space '99 is the best of the two, thought this version is still very good. :D
I don't know, i love the acoustic outro to this which is missing from the later version. I'm also a fan of Stanne's vocals in general though this isn't his best performance.

@Huzzawful But the Prototype Melodeath sound, it gotta be Carcass, they set the ball rolling for MDM movement with the Heartwork album.

My favorite song by IF is definitely Clad In Shadows, but this song was the song that got me into In Flames.
Stanne is definitely my favorite vocals for IF.
Gage727 2 years ago
All the metal fans know that Mikael Stanne was also the first vocalist in Hammerfall, nobody is sorry that only did that as a quest vocalist.

for some reason when anders came, the style changed also
th guitar is more clear, and i think anders is just better at th high screaming
