  • the questions were so frickin easy. i knew it was "car" because i'm filipino, and coche means car in the filipino language also, since the spanish invaded the phillipines. also, zodiac signs are so easy to spell O__O

  • BRILL VIDEO LOVE IT WELL DONE TO ALL THE KIDS AND PUPILS AT HER SCHOOL

  • i feel strange just seeing my teacher outside of public, let alone if i were to see her on tv

  • It feels really weird sitting here reading these comments... it almost makes me angry. None of you people know Mrs Coleman personally, so you can hardly judge her. You may think she is 'dumb', or a 'bad teacher', and you are entitled to your opinion. But let me share mine. Mrs Coleman is a great teacher. She specialises in PE, and if you had known her in real life you would know she suffered from breast cancer! I miss her a lot! I left Ridgeway a few months ago, wish I was still there! (:

  • @jettadonner Normally I don't reply to comments, but i feel i have to make an exception with you. I was going to delete your post but after reading it again I think people need to know what a truly messed up world we live in.

I have no idea why you need to vent so much anger or its just a case of spamming? but seriously why not use the web to educate yourself with knowledge of others and the world they inhabit? rather than just gob off?

  • @jettadonner What does this mean?

  • @jettadonner I like british tv even better than any other

  • @jettadonner Spoken like a true victim of our broken, government run education system. Nice run on sentence there, with all caps and no punctuation. I nearly passed out from not being able to take a breath while reading your diatribe. Nice rant, you are the weakest link. Good-bye.

  • someone tell me why all British reality shows have two hosts.

  • @jphilipgardner7

So that they can be rude about each other, perhaps?

  • Cor! Wish I had a teacher that looked like Suzy :-)

  • Shameful for a teacher

  • They are not normal ten year olds though, they pick children who are high achievers in their schools. high IQS, and yes they probably are a lot smarter than a lot of adults. a normal ten year probably couldn't even name the capital of America.

  • @Rowan07001484 No they aren't. At that age I would have probably known all the answers. But you forget some things and don't necessarily take in everything you learn. For instance when the question came up saying how many units in this four-digit number, the first thing I thought of was the thing you put after the number ie. grams, cm^3 ect. It didn't cross my mind until she mentioned it that the first digit numbers are called the units.

  • @blingadude

They are high achievers. Trust me. You believe what you like. But honestly, average kids that age do not know all these things off hand. they may know some of the answers, but I have done a quiz with kids of that age, half of them don't know what the capital of spain is. I work with children this age, and they wouldn't get these questions right. most schools don't even teach spanish.

They are high acheivers, most with private school education. get real.

  • @blingadude

I would have got some of the answers becuase I was being taught them yes, back when I was ten. But they do pick the children who are smartest in their class and from high achieving schools. They are not difficult questions. But most kids can barely spell. Even I can't and I'm 23.

I'm sorry but you are wrong on this occasion. These are bright kids. Not average.

  • @Rowan07001484 Fine. I would have gotten most of those questions right if I was 10. Apart from the Spanish (because I wasn't taught it). But stuff like the spelling of Sagittarius was one of those things that I would have probably known but no longer know. Mainly because it has no actual relevance to anything or anyone.

  • @blingadude

How can you possibly know if you would have gotten these things right at ten.

I know I wouldn't have. And with all the answers on this show. I learned them over time. And some I knew when I was at school but have failed to have remembered. the maths questions especialy.

All I am saying is that they choose high achievers becuase they want them to get the questions right and show the adults up. They are not going to pick an average achieving ten year old for the show.

  • @Rowan07001484 I remember at that age we were taught a bit about star-signs and obviously had to write them down. Stuff like spelling hieroglyphics only throws me off now because I tend to spell those words ei instead of ie (I'm a bit dyslexic). But at that age I would have gone by the "golden rules" ect. Also, when you learn about numbers in like Year 3, you learn about units, tens, hundreds, tenths ect. and don't associate the word unit to the thing you put after the number.

  • @blingadude

That's one or two questions. They have all sorts of questions on this show, some are farely easy. And a high acheiving child would get them. Normal kids are ignorant becuase the school system is crap these days. Many can't even read or wriote properly when they leave primary, let alone spell difficult words.

  • @Rowan07001484 Without sounding smug, maybe that's just me. I know that me or most of my friends at that age would have gotten most of those questions right. I know other people who are so thick they really can't even string together a coherent sentence.

  • @blingadude

Maybe you are smart then. I'm not. But it is pretty obvious that they don't just pick any old child to go on the show. The questions are easy, but you would have to have a child that would know them off hand. So they go round the schools and ask the brightest kids to take part. I mean we didn't even learn spanish, or French at my school, and barely any music. We did German. And as for spelling, I'm still dreadful.

  • @Rowan07001484 It's pretty obvious that they've given the children some tailor made homework to revise that covers the answers to the questions. If it's geography, for instance, they won't make the kids learn every capital city in the world, they'll give them a list of a few countries/capitals and coincidentally a question on these few countries might come up in the show.

  • @blandflabbis

jesus christ, i know that. they are still all high achieving children. for god sake i know this for a fact. i don't care if people don't believe me.

  • @Rowan07001484 I don't doubt they're smart for their age, but the show is hardly about being smarter than an average 10 year old. Even a complete idiot could do well on this show if they'd been given the same homework - the human capacity to remember small amounts of information being what it is.

  • @blandflabbis

    probably.
