My wife's an mngr at an eye doctor's office here in NYC. Yesterday a lady walked in the office completely blind in the right eye. Her vision began to deteriorate due to bleeding in the back of the eye which began about a year ago due to hypertension. The doc asked why she didn't seek medical help when she began losing vision, she replied her church was praying for god to cure her.
@datzfast My point should be obvious. You mentioned you have "seen" doctors kill patients "because" it was Sunday, yet you did not call the authorities? Something doesn't add up.
@datzfast Yes,I had the intention to mock religious faith. She had the freedom to have faith in god & miracles & lost her vision, & I have the freedom to mock her, & those who share her faith for being so naive. Beliefs & their consequences :)
No, I wouldn't burn the Koran or any "holy" book because I believe in freedom of & from religion, as well as the freedom to mock those who in the dawn of the 21st Century still hold dear primitive bronze age speculations about the nature of the Universe :)
I had prolotherapy done on my ankle by Dr. Bachrach in NYC. The shit works! I took my about three treatments followed by physical therapy. now, I can play hoops all day with no pain.
God gave me a brain to figuare things out. Not to have knee surgery for something which could be fixed without surgery. I belive in God! Dont miss use Gods word. Dr Ross Hauser is a wonderful doctor.
What does one faith have to do with it? God let me get broken so it must be his fault. I had faith during my injury, that did not help stop it at all.
If the injury is appropriate for prolo then prolo CAN actually make the ligaments even stronger than they were when we were 18 .. it can make them thicker and stronger than they ever were naturally. If administered correctly and for a suitable injury it is as near a perfect and permament fix as is humanly possible .. I totally agree with Dr Hauser.
Prolotherapy works very well, I had it done on my neck due to a bad injury and lower back and foot. Many people have not heard of it, which is a shame. Pain killers are dangerous and addictive, would never take them!
I have been treated by Hauser--traveled across country to do so several years ago. My experience is that the treatment works well and that the healing is long-term. Hauser doesn't try to convert anyone to whatever his religious beliefs may be, so that is not an issue in this treatment.
so faith in god is what keeps prolo working?

Ya, its gonna take just a little more than faith in God LOL. It'll take faith in YOURSELF!!!

prolotherapy = a bullet in the tool box of medicine that promotes healing and subsequent recovery.

@kbkesq you're absolutely right, forgive me for giving Harris the credit for Sagan's quote.

Actually, it was a Carl Sagan who said that.

@kbkesq
care of wikipedia, Sagan *popularized* this quote, but the trail goes back further. Regardless, an excellent point.

The suggestion that the technique might be more effective in th long term if I have a strong faith in god doesn't really inspire my confidence.
