my dad had this song on a album set called "the history of country music" quite awhile ago, in the days before the wibbly wobbly web, so it nice to put a face to the voice. by the way i love those two guitarist doing backing singing HELLO (ok mate i'll keep walking no problem phew!!! ). GOODBYE....... LOL
Ground breaking stuff, the subject matter being very shaky at the time - gave rise to progressive excellent cover versions, i.e. Dean Martin and others who embraced both the quality of lyric and harmony. Who hasn't in their life either in fact or imagination across all social boundries had the joy and tears of having to 'Walk on By'. Such songs are and will remain timeless, it wasn't sought in their composure but like it or not they are now the very mirrors of our relatively so short lives.
@mollymitch1 Keep your eure-trash opinion to yourself. Were it not like leroy here, you wouldnt even HAVE this wonderful iconic country music influence in music today!
@romnsch13 What the hell are you on about? i never said I didn't like him. Read my comment again And read this. It is computer talk for a problem you are having ID 10 T
@mollymitch1 l think your reply to my comment was misunderstood -the way l see it you were replying to my comment that the modern country music was rubbish not Leroy van Dyke one of the best
Anybody know the name of Leroy's guitarist?
