  • Would the shuttle generate any lift while flying, in term of aerodynamics?!

  • @3elwoo Duuuuh r u kidding?! A turbo fan has a ceiling! Probably, not exceeding 50kf for airliners! While shuttle should reach 350kf or something to form an orbit. The Earth (mother) needs SRB (fucker) that makes a thing outta there!

  • They should fly these to the edge of the atmosphere, break off there and let the shuttle go into space alone.

I bet it would save a lot of money compared to the way they did it before.

  • @RampantRedBull Superman Returns was total fiction. There's a reason the shuttle doesn't do that. A 747 does not have the capacity to lift the orbiter and ET, let alone get them up to an altitude of 30 miles and 3,000 mph.

  • @nmoeller104 Fair enough. Just to clarify something, I wasn't referencing any film... :L

  • @RampantRedBull They do that in Superman Returns. Wouldn't have been a stretch :)

  • Lets see. The crew got out of that thingy that they get into from the shuttle during the dark. And the Shuttle leaves CA during the dark. They didn't load it up on the 747 that fast (one night) did they?

  • Took 7 days from landing to piggy back ride.

  • Nice vid man!
